Whether it's worth buying is subjective right now, as some people are enjoying but others are finding it quite buggy from what I've seen. It's so bad, they've delayed the console release indefinitely until the PC version is fixed.

You could play Horizons, and buy Odyssey later down the line, it only adds in some extra features.

Just stick with horizons for now unless you're really hell bent on having at on-foot first person walkies on stations, planets and pew pew at the same level.

Now I advanced to another level in one of my level up thingies and I received a message that I now can pledge myself to a galactic power so I tried one out but I don’t have any clue on what to do with it
I have also send in my application to join the UFP version ingame at elite dangerous.

I won't lie, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to landing and I use the automated docking feature, as it frees me up to do other stuff during the docking process.

So with the pledging to the galactic powers, this is something in the background where you can run things such as favours to places around the bubble to improve the influence there. This can change who controls what systems, but it usually requires a lot of players to take part I believe.

I've owned the game for a while, but never got very far. This may get me pulled back into it.

I even have a HOTAS setup for more "flight sim" type controls if I'm feeling adventurous.

Auto dock usage is immediate grounds for fun making of you in my Legion lol (unless you flying huge cargo ships and don't trust AIs at mail slots into stations haha)

I've got my VR set up...set back up after my big move for my new job. HOTAS included. I'd love to get out into the black in Elite with folks from here. Maybe set up a day or two a month to mine, shoot some baddies, or go on some other missions?
