It’s an incredible number that could never have happened without you, the Captains who play our game, bringing the Star Trek Universe to life in a way no other piece of Trek media can. We’re so grateful that you have and continue to take this ride with us, whether you’ve been here since Beta or your first day playing was today.

And speaking of today, we’re marking our anniversary with a drop of brand new content, starting with one of the most exciting guest stars we’ve ever had. Kate Mulgrew returns to the role she defined, Katherine Janeway, the first woman to Captain a starship as the lead of her own show. For seven years, Janeway guided the crew of Voyager on their desperate search for a way home, but what has she been doing in the year 2411? You’ll find her in our brand new episode, “Red Shift,” alongside Star Trek favorites Mary Wiseman and Chase Masterson. The Terran Empire has attacked Jupiter Station, but why? What do they want?

Janeway has also been retroactively added to the Delta Quadrant missions that feature most of the rest of the cast of Star Trek: Voyager. You'll find the Admiral directing you on missions throughout that entire storyarc.

You’ll be able to explore Jupiter Station yourself in “Red Shift,” or defend it in space in our brand new Task Force Operation, “Iuppiter Iratus.” Completing the mission, the TFO, or the Omega Particle stabilization game will earn you progress towards the Jarrok Alliance Carrier, a brand new T6 ship that combines Romulan and Federation designs. And you can open the Emerald Chain Lock Box to claim items used by the villainous syndicate during Star Trek: Discovery Season 3.

That Odyssey looks nice and a free T6 token isn't to be sniffed at either.

EDIT: The free token is redeemable against the "new" ships also.

I'm excited to see where the story goes to and it's nice to see aunty Kathy making an appearance in STO.

The retexturing and model refinement iteration on the Yorktown-class look crisp.

Done the story mission and it's got an OMG moment for sure I was sat with my mouth open at one point loved it think its my fave story ep now and the TFO is decent also.

One thing to note is that the Mission will put you in an NPC ship sometimes when you are in an NPC ship you will lose your traits. Be sure to check before moving on to the next run.

This was definitely a great mission. I'm highly stoked for the rest of it. Considering the prize and revelation we got here, if the Emperor is who I think they are, man... I can't wait.

A fun mission, I enjoyed it as well. Though I'm really interested to find out if the uniform you transform into is available or not. I don't recall seeing that anywhere, but I could definitely be mistaken!

Yeah. Talk about "Are you kidding me right now?", but in an eminently good way. All sorts of potential for future story treads.

That said, am I the only one who wants the new Jupiter Station interior for one's own ship? I'd pay real money for that.

Does anyone who has a female toon know if you get a different voice when in the mission?
Thought it was a cool little thing to add in a voice for our characters, even having them in the mission was pretty cool to begin with.

I was wondering the same thing only in the other direction.
My female Reman captain definitely has a female-style voice, but it could be just a pitched audio track. DSPs can do many things.

You get a female voice altered with a voice modulator.

I have to say it was the best thing the STO Devs ever did and I wish they would keep it.

That was one of the best missions I've played on STO and I agree with a lot of the views mentioned here.

I will say that I hope that uniform is purchasable in the future as it's amazing

I couldn't get the autofire to work in the mission so it was back to click-click-click but it's definitely one of the best efforts STO has had in years with the mirror episode arc. The reveal during it isn't an angle I was expecting, so it'll be interesting to see where they're going with it.

That leaves the question of who the Emperor will turn out to be. It's known they made contact with who they wanted for it (I think the implication was it's someone who hasn't appeared in STO before) and since they got Janeway in for her new role, could it be possible that they may have actually managed to get hold of Sir Patrick? /rampant speculation to be continued!

Ooh! I know that moment! I was all like, "WHAT? That is SO cool!" Makes me wonder if the Emperor might be the Captain of that ship?

Who . . . knows . . . who . . . it . . . could . . . be?

And I was also VERY impressed with the Jupiter Station interior. I think Jupiter Station needs to replace ESD.
