Okay, but how do I link my Epic account to my existing STO account? grrr

Hi all;

With the new promotion Epic was running, I decided last night to install STO on the Epic launcher and link my existing account to it to take advantage of the regional pricing on Zen. Arc defaults to USD but Epic does regional currency, so being in Canada, it would be cheaper to buy Zen on Epic rather then Arc.

After 40 minutes of trying to figure it out, gave up and contacted support who confirmed you can't do it anymore.

Quote the Arc support team: "I am afraid it is not possible to transfer/link your Arc progress to Epic Games at this time. If you try to play on Epic Games, it will automatically create a new account for you. I apologize for the inconvenience"

I followed up and they confirmed that the linking used to be supported when STO was launched on Epic store but was disabled "sometime ago."

If you have it working already it'll keep working it seems but you can't link new ones.

Some of you may already know this but it was a topic in chat last night (why I decided to try) so at least some don't. Figured I'd mention it to save someone else the time trying
