Still have the idea, without interading much with them, they rarely innovate, and come across a little impersonal, automated like. From some points of view this is good, nothing goes wrong. But it's not improvinf either.
Enlistednut09:. Thank you for your feedback, we are looking for more ways to interact with the UFP in a larger capacity and have a few ideas. However that being said I would love to hear some suggestions from you on how we can improve.
Unfortunately, if our recruits do not interact with our RSO’s then I can understand how it can feel that way. Our RSO’s have been around the community for awhile and are knowledgeable in a large range of topics and would love more interaction then they are receiving, it is a two way street after all.
I have to give high props to the people in Starfleet Academy, I don't think new applicants have to wait more than a few hours to get picked up by an RSO officer and I love how this community has cultivated a tradition of welcoming in all the new members.
Enlistednut09: We try to be as welcoming as possible as the RSO’s tend to be the first face that new or returning members interact with. As mentioned in my response above we would love more interactions with our recruits, however we also understand that being new to something can make it a bit intimidating at first.

People come and go. More seem to go.
Enlistednut09: Sadly that is how things tend to go within the Academy, I’ve been in the Academy the majority of my 7 years with the UFP and have seen a lot of good people come and go. It can be a combination of real life issues, UFP promotions, and unfortunately yes overwork.
The Academy currently fills a very niche role within the UFP, one that no other directorate has overlap on. Due to this unique requirement we can at times have high turnover, however I’d love to hear feedback from you on ways this can be improved. If you’re willing please feel free to PM me.

In addition to what enlistednut09 says, yes we have some ideas to be more interactive but that needs more discussion and planning within our division but rest assured that this will be one of our priorities. We want to have the academy to be a place people can call a second home and to be a place you all can come to whenever you feel the need for it.
