So I picked up the Alliance Carrier today - decided to pick-up the Elite Alliance Fighters; here is the photo of them; they're purchasable at the Fleet Vendor at the main base.

I was honestly quite impressed with just the basic ones when running through Argala on advanced difficulty. None of them died and they supplemented my weapon attacks quite nicely.

I reckon these will be the go to pet for anyone wanting a better version of the Peregrines for a Fed themed carrier.

I was actually surprised the Jarok Carrier didn't come with a singularity core; but has a standard warp core. The Elite Alliance Fighters appear to do well. May use them on my 5/3 FDC ships instead of a 3/3 carrier.

I picked the ship up last night and I think if I ever need pets I'll probably go with these just based on them being account wide and not a huge outlay - so that'll be the Mirror Lexington since it has a hanger. I'd quite like to get my hands on the Aeon hanger pets at some point, but 450m is too rich for my blood for something that'll only see occasional use.

The devs mentioned on one of the streams that they looked at letting the Jarok slot either core, but the tech wasn't there. They chose Warp since apparently Romulans get a bit better access to singularity cores still.

The pets aren't half bad. Probably not the new meta for hardcore carrier builds, but a solid option and possibly one of the better torp-build-friendly pet choices out there. I ran them on 9th Rule and Argala Elite patrols to power level the cruisers on a few toons and noticed they survived really well, so that's really nice to see in a fighter/squadron pet.

I picked it up yesterday, ran two patrols, grabbed the elite fighter swarms, and mothballed it. It's sitting alongside the other Alliance ships. When you fly either a SCI Pilot Warbird or a Valkis, why would you need "other" ships? But I do like the swarmers. They're not as strong as the Craeul Frigates, but they ain't bad.

My Akira likes the Elite fighter squadrons. They seem to do way more damage than anything else I tried and don't bork up my torpedo shots from the main ship.
