Dave Blass deserves credit for having the brains to utilise STO assets after last seasons cut and paste fiasco. Good on the team for their ships making it to Alpha canon.

I think from the show maker's side it makes sense to have STO ships included where possible. The models in the game now are incredibly detailed and just need reskinning to bring them up to the standard of the in-show effects.
It'll save them a tonne of time and resources that used to have to go into either physical model making, or creating bespoke CGI models.

The systems used to create the show models and the game models are essentially the same so there's lots of potential crossover. We've already seen game ships made using the show CGI as a base.

I've not watched the full video yet, but I've heard that Marrone was working double time behind the scenes to beef up the models so they'd withstand the glare of the TV format and the Terran ship revamp was used as a smokescreen to hide what he was up to.

I'm really happy for Marrone, because damn do all these ships look good after the updates. Can't wait for more ships to get canonized, because you know they are going to do that.
