My expectations are set to as low as possible after they have done several things to annoy me already, hence my preferred title for the game to ensure my hopes never rise until I actually play it.

Lol, I think the one major problem for them, is the fact that its going to be browser based. I know some of those can be good, but a trek one... I think its going to be limit, and a disgrace to the franchise.

I think what can be done with browser based games these days is pretty good and I think an enjoyable Star Trek title could be made, at this stage it is all too early to say but between the trailer, website and their press releases they have IMO demonstrated enough lack of detail to show that those working on the project are not Star Trek fans and are not keen to spend the time to get the details right.

Now this opinion is only formed based on what they have shown so far so I am very much hoping that going forward they sort this out and it was all just a bad day at the office but you only get to make a first impression once and to me it doesn't inspire confidence if their first impression is one they are not bothered about.

This is the biggest license that the publisher or developer have ever been involved with, I do hope they understand that and treat it as such and a good place to start would be getting some understanding of the Star Trek lore and understanding what it is that makes Star Trek different from other sci-fi series.

I would rather have my expectations at rock bottom now and end up being pleasantly suprised than be excited about this and have it turn out as I suspect it likely will and being hugely disappointed.
