Season 2 pathway
Chapter 1: Departure ||IN PROGRESS||
Capt. Jones, Sam & Akyv Return back to the Ares to start their new adventures into the unknown, but an unwelcome encounter makes this new venture extremely dangerous. A new CSO boards to help out & Akyv gets an unexpected promotion.
CO's NOTE: The promotion may or may not be permanent, dependent on who applies for the simm as CMO.
Chapter 2: Second contact with the Altians ||Development complete||
The Federation gives a heads-up on a species that the Vulcans encountered shortly before the formation of the Federation & state that the Altians are ready for a formal first contact. An Orion fighter tails them from afar, monitoring. A Barfight puts a crewmember in trouble. An agreement on assistance is reached.
Chapter 3: The Densest of Nebula ||In Development||
Ares encounters a class X nebula, which is hyper-dense. Sam & Akyv plan out their life after Ares.
CO's NOTE: I don't intend for the Syndicate to follow them around every chapter, but there may be a small fighter skirmish along the way.
Chapter 4: Ship full of goodies ||In Development||
Ares happens upon an apparently abandoned freighter, full of highly valuable cargo. They discover a Klingon hiding in a storage locker that was the only area of the ship that had life support active in it.
Chapter 5, Pt. 1: The Chase ||In Development||
A massive Orion Syndicate vessel is encountered in open space, attempting to chase down the Ares. The chase goes on until its reaches the Altian border.
Chapter 5, Pt. 2: ...to the bitter end. ||In Development||
The fight to keep Ares out of Syndicate hands begins.
This is our current plan for this season. When we reach Chapter 5, I'll post up information on Season 3.

You're going to call me crazy but I think this is too detailed of planning. I think there should be a strong mission statement, a goal to achieve, and a rule that players should at least not write anything that makes achieving that goal, to complete the mission, impossible or unworkable difficult. To state as a general rule the posts should have the characters at least attempt to contribute to achieving the mission.
And then we, or rather you, can throw a spanner in the works from time to time, like a nebula, an orion, a singularity cluster or whatever, just to spice things up.
But that's me talking from the gut. I am very happy to be proven wrong every time I voice my opinion if you catch my meaning.

Hey guys!
I for one would rather not know anything about the plots for the story or even the story line. I would rather be challenged with problems when they arrive that I need to collaborate with my friends/peers to collectively solve. Isn't that what Star Trek is? I do not want to know whats going to happen because that makes me feel like the problems or antagonists are already decided and now I am just going through the motions.
I would have to agree with DeuZige on this...
