With time running out to restore the original timeline, Picard takes matters into his own hands and seeks out an old friend for help. Meanwhile, Rios ends up on the wrong side of the law and Jurati makes a deal with the Borg Queen.
You can find a preview of the episode details here. As with last week, this one is again directed by Lea Thompson. The preview shots may give the impression that a certain person is the Watcher, but the trailer has a brief shot of someone else who may well be who they're looking for.

I loved this episode, despite being slow (according to the reviews). For me it was so entertaining. The whole episode my mind was preoccupied with the question of why Guinian doesn't remember meeting Picard in TNG Times's Arrow. It got me thinking about it all night. anyways, I had to look it up on google

Yeah that's what I was going on about in the chatbox. And I did wonder if the aegis guys. Gary Sevens lot would be in it. That smoke covered transport effect is what they use. So now I think the watcher is an agent sent by the aegis to watch over earth. Or it could even be Gary seven somehow

That review is proof of why I don't bother with reviews these days...
That said, I liked the episode. TNG-esque Star Trek is supposed to be slow and contemplative with complicated 5D chess plotlines. As for "the world is small?" What do you wanna bet the moaning if there hadn't been any sort of nostalgia callback?

Loved the bit on the bus which was like the scene in ST:IV with the punk guy and Kirk/Spock. But this time he was all apologetic at the noise he made lol!
What’s going on with the overall plot I have no idea though; it’s certainly got me interested.
I wonder if it’s going to be something like they have to cause WWIII so the timeline continues as it should. In order to have the wonderful future they need to accept there has to be suffering before it to give something for the future of humanity to crawl out from under.

If it was me writing this, they'd end up ensuring that Gabriel Bell is in place to be, well replaced by Ben Sisko when the time comes. But it's probably going to be something with the Europa mission.

Yup, that's Kirk Thatcher. He was actually an associate producer on Star Trek IV. He also wrote/performed the song blaring out of his boom box and he appeared as a cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming as an older but similar punk character . He's been involved with The Muppets for a number of years and originally started out in the industry working for ILM on Return of the Jedi.
