Not gonna lie, I love the gear the away team uses in these episodes, makes so much more sense than going with only their uniform, phaser and tricorder.

Not gonna lie, I love the gear the away team uses in these episodes, makes so much more sense than going with only their uniform, phaser and tricorder.
A far cry from the TOS era where Kirk and his landing party just beamed down with a phaser and maybe a tricorder eh, as well as a couple of redshirts that go poof.
