    A sad day and the fleet will never be the same without him, and glad to see we are honoring him as a retired admiral. Wherever he is now, I imagine him talking about how great the Valkis is with that wonderful sense of humor he had. Rest in peace, good sir.

    I regret that my interactions with Taku were not many, but the few I had were positive and endearing. You could always rely on him to get those patch-notes up, probably before Cryptic themselves could! I wouldn't bother to read theirs, I'd read his! lol

    May you finally be at peace, taking comfort that you're no longer struggling, and that you've left your mark on this life - even if it was only in small ways, it was multiple small ways that touched many.

    This is very sad news.
    Taku was a most excellent member of the community and a good friend; he’ll be sorely missed round these parts.

    Despite his health problems he battled on and continued to be highly active here and in the game.
    He knew what was coming but he never let it get him down, and even if he did feel rough he still maintained his friendliness and politeness towards all.

    I’ll miss you buddy.

    Taku was a great man, excellent officer and contributor to our community. His patch notes, positivity, and quick wit will be missed terribly.

    Few among us impact so many as he did. Sharing his battle against an unseen enemy and facing it with dignity and courage. In many ways he serves as an example and inspiration to all of us.

    The beacon of light that UFP provides will shine a bit dimmer without his presence.

    My deepest condolences to familynand friends of Taku. He was a kind hearted member of the Star Trek community and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers.
