Hi all;

Been a member of UFP for 2 weeks now and just occurred to me that I never introduced my self so hear is goes.

My name is Ed, I am a 52 year old veteran MMO gamer that has played most major releases on the market currently. My job is I am a Call Center Supervisor for a major U.S. Bank call center. I am currently on medical leave going thru cancer treatment. I am working on becoming an active part of UFP and being on leave will allow for that,

So far I have enjoyed my time in the Fleet so far and expect to enjoy a long term service with UFP. Will see you all on STO and my main is Galeena currently and Alyss has be relegated to alternate duty.

Cancer can be kind of hard my grandmother had a bout of it and she got lucky and had some very good doctors and it went into remission 3 years ago and there hasnt been any sign of it since. Hope it goes well for you as well. Welcome to the Fleet!

Thank you very much for the welcomes. I plan to be a very active part of UFP and know that a part of that is letting everyone know who you are and a bit of why you are so to speak.

I wanted to add since while having discussion in another thread raised a point of thought and pause for me.

I get on teamspeak sometimes on a daily basis and sometimes not its similar with game play the reason why is I suffer from a rather nasty form of Lymphoma this is my third go around with this. This time seems to have left me in a lot of pain pretty much 24/7, I do take medication but limit it because I just don't like the medicated feeling it has. and mainly used when I need to sleep.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I don't get on and talk very much on TS is because I don't feel comfortable I don't like the fact people can hear the pain in my voice I guess just a personal thing. I hope this does not mean that I am not a part of this fleet, because I always was a part since the day I joined.

I'm very sorry to hear that Galbock, but don't worry at all about TeamSpeak, quite a few people go on without using their mics and it's not a problem at all.
I hope everything works out for you mate.

I'm sorry to hear that, Galbock. My mother had cancer so I know how debilitating it can be to a person. I hope you get through this.

Like Hathaway has said, you're welcome to speak, or even just be on TeamSpeak as little or as much as you want, and there'll be no hard feelings. We only encourage people to use TS where possible, it'll never be a requirement.

Galbock, you don't have to speak on TS if you don't want to. There's a text chat only channel that i often idle in because i'm doing work or other things. When you get a lot of people in a TS channel people start talking over each other and you get mad echoing, so a lot of times i like to text chat.

I wouldn't even worry about TS. I don't go on much and when I do it's not with a mic and get by just fine. But on a more important note, I hope your treatments work and I'm really sorry to hear that you're so ill. BIG HUG!
