I loved it, it was brilliant except for one thing:
The new Enterprise. The Enterprise is Starfleet Flagship and not a low level explorer.

Well look at the crew, they gave them something to play (= crash) with, which isn’t so expensive to repair ore to replace.
    Probably Starfleet anticipated Q…

    I'm just wondering....

How they plan on fixing this in STO. I loved the ending; it was definitely the send off that the TNG Crew deserved but renaming the Titan to Enterprise? Especially when the F likely wasn't that old to begin with makes little sense to me. But I'm not a writer and I can also see the ST:IV reference here.
I think they won't touch it the game story is way too different already than they could ever change it with the number of Devs they have.

STO is like the Kelvin Timeline set in another Universe compared to the TV-Shows.

    Also,
given the outcome, you can bet it'll definitely be a promo rather than lockbox ship now, so they'll not be hurting too much on the storyline front for STO when they think of the potential money coming their way from folks since the hot ticket ship just got hotter still.

    My $0.02

The Enterprise WAS the flagship of Starfleet but it doesn't really translate that it always will be. The continuing mission statement has always been ... "Explore Strange, new worlds.." so the Ent-G is a mission appropriate vessel. Sad that salty, dipshit captain from Chicago won't return but it was good to see him again, albeit briefly. The voice of Walter Koenig was lovely to hear as was Alice Krige and there were too many lovely snips of banter to mention here but I think the best was from Worf and Riker regarding the away team. lol

    Loved the mid credits scene.

I went into the episode expecting more and was disapointed, it started well but half way through it started to falter and seem like fan-fiction.

The enterprise-d a behemouth even by 2400's standard flying like an acrobatic jet... there were quite a few bits that I didn't enjoy and particularly after Seven and Tuvoks scene I was moaning nooo out loud several times.

I'm with you in spirit Bridger but there's been a number of years where starfleet needed a flagship and the Enterprise wasn't around, namely between C and D.

I get where you're coming from. This season was not without it's faults. I'm willing to overlook most of them, due to the excellent character work, acting, and (for the most part) writing. This season was on a constrained budget, but with what they had to work with, Terry Matalas and team did a wonderful job! The amount of fan service was high, but appropriate to the story. Loose ends from TNG forward were tidied up nicely. The D shouldn't be able to handle like it did, but it was fun to see! There were some plot 'conveniences' in how the Borg were handled, but I can forgive them because of how much I enjoyed the season as a whole. We have not been served Star Trek this good in nearly 20 years!

Picard: Season 3 is the first Star Trek to be in the top 10 Nielson ratings since the first episode of Discovery, which subsequently disappeared from ever showing up in the top 10 again, forever (if I'm remembering correctly)! Picard is rising in the rankings, week after week! I hope that Paramount is paying attention. I suspect that Picard may last a week or two more in the top 10, after the season has finished airing, as word of mouth, about how good the season is, spreads.

Overall, I loved this season of Picard! The writing wasn't always the best that Star Trek has seen, this season, but I think that the quality of the character work, and the acting is the best, if not among the best in all of Star Trek! I also think that the amount of, and quality of fan service provided, was sorely needed after what has been fed to us hardcore fans since 2009. I will say that I wasn't thrilled with rechristening the Titan, the Enterprise G. I wasn't excited about Raffi being Seven's 1st Officer, for hopefully obvious reasons to anyone reading this. I'm not sure how a fast-tracked ensign, fresh out of academy, is qualified for a special place on the bridge as a Special Counselor to the Captain, but here we are! They do have the makings for Star Trek: Legacy (Legacies), should they be smart enough to make it, though! I do like the Titan's, uhm I mean the Enterprise's crew, for the most part, and I thought that Seven stood out strongly this episode. I would be happy to see a new series, centered on this Enterprise, and her crew, if led by Terry Matalas, without intervention from the rest of the Secret Hideout gang.

This season is a strong recommend from me!

I guess this means "no spoilers" is out the window now. Big Grin I thought overall the season was well done, and definitely a strong showing for "nu trek" and signs off Picard specifically on a high note. I am honestly not too fussed about the D mimicking the Millennium Falcon's ROTJ acrobatics, as while we didn't really see that in TNG, we also weren't really given story scenarios to see anything like that since ships were filmed physical models captured with bulky cameras back in the day. Plus, I wouldn't put it past Geordi to hot rod her out since it was his pet project.

While clearly Matalas and company dug deep to honor the TNG-era shows and close a number of loops, the show certainly left its own unanswered questions. Anyone remember that Orla Brady's Laris was in Episode 1 of the season? Did they break up so Picard and Crusher could hook up? Did Riker and Troi just forget that they have a daughter out there somewhere? And what's in 25th century Orlando? "I just saved the Federation (again), so I'm going to Disney World"? Even with 2 admirals as parents, how did Jack go from thief to nearly being the destroyer of the Federation to a full ensign bridge officer on presumably a prestigious ship assignment in a year? All this is minor nitpicking in the grand scheme of things here, but would be nice if we get some form of follow up story, whether through a TV show, or if rumors are to be believed in another Star Trek Paramount+ movie, of which the recently announced Section 31 movie is suggested to be just the first of a pipeline.

All in all, this is season is definitely worth watching, and now that all 10 episodes are out I'll probably look for time to sit and binge watch them back to back soon.

It was a terrific ending! And fitting for crew of the Enterprise D. We have to ask ourselves only one thing... why didn't they do this sooner! Now I can go wipe my eyes...

What an episode, a fitting end for the TNG crew and seeing Enterprise-D save Starfleet again and show off her firepower was also amazing.
Of course this season wasn't perfect, but it was one of the best seasons if not the best of Star Trek of all time.
One thing I did not enjoy was the fact that the Titan became the Enterprise-G, it felt very forced and to be honest the Titan doesn't feel like an Enterprise if I may say so.

We shouldn’t underestimate Seven capabilities, she improved the Voyager (also SCI ship) and this time she has help of the Laforge family, personally I assume the other daughter is the new chief engineer.
