[Draxx]

I know, not a wildly popular ship. What drew me to it was the 2 hanger bays and it looks like a shark. Registry number: T.S.C Orca 61975-B (if anyone gets that reference, you're at least as old as me or good with google.)

So layout.
5 engineering slots
2 science
3 tactical.
4 device slots.
5 forward facing weapons and 3 rear.

Right now i don't have much being this is on a new toon that i already have at 65 (double xp made it go fast)

What i have planned for weapons is 3 dual heavy cannons (not sure what to get so looking for suggestions) and then 2 torpedos. One is going to be the gravimetric photon torp launcher. it creates gravity wells and works awesome with torpedo spread. The other i'm unsure of, maybe the morpheogenic torp (as a set to get that bonus crit severity and weapon damage). But this would mean using polaron heavy dual turrets to keep the damage types in line. Seams like anything good is left up to chance in lock boxes.

As far as universal consoles, i'm currently using:
Protomatter field projector
Swarmer Matrix (goes great with the hanger pets and gives me 5 more for 17 max)
Variable auto-targeting armament
I.F.F Manipulator (makes me look friendly to everyone and causes enemy ships to shoot at each other)

I'm unsure what space sets to use. Was looking at some elite fleet equipment but i'm currently unable to purchase at the moment like the Intervention deflector (improves speed and turn rate, exotic particle generation and control [great for those gravity torps] improved crit with all weapons and shield pen with 5% crit severity and chance based on hull %}

As far as space sets, i'm thinking the competitive set. The innervating engine because of all the fire modes i'll be using, Fortified warp core for more shields, and then the shields themselves for 3 of the 4 pieces of the set. THe deflector doesnt have the extra ump i'm looking for that the fleet gives.

Then again, i'm sure elite fleet stuff would be good too. I haven't been through everything on the colony world yet. New to me so still learning the place. ANy thoughts on this stuff? Its an assault carrier so survivability is great and cost is somewhat important. I seen a universal console i would love to have, but its 700m on the exchange.

Would love to get opinions on this and any advice. it's been since 2017 for me, so idk whats top tier anymore. used to be Terran stuff, but idk anymore. Looking for affordable and reasonability to acquire.

Yeah, lots of improvements done, lots still to do. But this thing will wreck random's. the (**) means i have something else planned, or could be removed for something else. Could use suggestions. I just need a lot of fleet creds to buy what i'm looking for.

Oh she's coming along. Replaced the To'doj fighters with elite fleet fighters.
replaced a universal console with a damage resist. Borg have this thing about draining shields. . . Going to upgrade that to a fleet damage resist when i get the creds again. Fighters cost me 200k
upgraded ship to a T6-X gaining an extra ship consol slot and starship trait.

Competitive warp core going in tomorrow. rep will finally be high enough to get it and in 5 days, the new shield.

I swear if my dps isn't at least 150k i would cry. On missions like space dock one where it's a constant flow of enemies, i just wreck everything within 20km. I haven't started logging my damage yet, but if anyone wants to volunteer to gadge my build, i welcome it.

Yep spot on, basically Shields mean nothing in this game, they are about as useful as temporary hitpoints, resists and regen are where its at, and hopefully a universal console for instant regen or heals if you have space

Not entirely useless, I mean they make that first alpha strike almost useless from the enemies =P

I did not know about this, and it's a cheap ship. Definitely going to get this and throw it on.

Says my DPS is 58k, but yet i have damage peaks of 1.25m and 800k with single damage hits in the 200k range. Wondering if the travel time from one side of the map to the other is eating to much into the log. not bad for a random map. Did 50% of the team damage. Still have a few consoles to get and the competitive shields to unlock still. And using crafted cannons. Just to poor to buy the good ones from lock boxes lol, not that I think I need them.

Not bad better reflection of actual DPS is better parsed in IInfected Space Advance or Elite ISA and ISE

SOOO i took off all 3 tactical advance consoles. added 1 of the new hanger consoles, did an elite infected. Doubled my dps. These consoles rule.

Not sure if i'm doing something wrong. I have 3 of these consoles on now with +40% damage to phasers and +40% damage to cannons, which should have made up for the tactical consoles having a simular damage % i no longer have. But my dps has gone down a little. Makes no sense unless it's something to do with people going into these tfo's with 300k+ dps builds and i'm just not getting a chance to get in as many hits. I'm still happy im hitting 150+ just interesting that i'm losing dps somewhere.

Starship traits:
Majority/minority (more allies damage resistance boost. More foes damage boost)
Honored Dead (every 10k damage taken bonus damage resistance stack. at 20 gain 10k bonus hp)
S.A.D. (pets go BRRRRRR and targets get -30 damage resistance)
Relaunch and repair. (pet launch button also repairs hull of pets and carrier by 25% per rotation. -5% captain ability recharge)
Strike group Command (bonus damage for all pets based on strongest still living. +30% Damage for fighters +40% for frigates.)

Hive defences (every time i take damage it summons 3 hurq frigates to defend me for 45 seconds. (5 second CD)
Boilmer effect (recharge boffs of the same type)
Galvanized munitions (10% outgoing cannon/turret damage reinforces the forward shield)
last ditch effort (+40% damage resist when go down fighting active)
Wing commander (pets rank 2x as fast)
Intel agent. (Weapon crits recharge cap abilities)

Space rep:
Magnified Firepower: 5% weapon damage boost
Chrono Capaciter: 7.5% boff recharge speed
Precision: +4% crit chance
Energy refrequencer: 9.3% of outgoing damage is hull healed 5x per second cap)

Latest DPS check with some rando's on ICE put me at 183k, but i got a bad jump at start. forgot to have my full impulse turned on. I'm happy with where i'm at. i'm not super strong hulk doing 400+k but compared to 2 weeks ago when i was at 56k, this ship has come a long way. still a little to go and unsure where else I can improve. maybe a console i don't know about that would make things better or an event item that will make it jump better.

I have yet to unlock the other trait slots from fleet. building up more fleet creds after buying all the cool stuff i could.

i know, been a whole since i've update this since it was almost completed. would DOMINO make any significant change to this build? not sure if the increased phaser damage would help the pets, or the pets getting killed count towards the domino's activation bonus. Don't get me wrong, the ship itself could benefit, but not sure by how much.
