UFP and Minecraft

Greets to all!
As many of you know, The UFPlanets has a selection of members that love to play an indie game known as Minecraft! As such we also have two local servers we play on;
Utopia - The Creative server!
On this server, we provide our players with the equipment and items, even the space to build what they want! There are a few states setup within the realm of Utopia, Ravenholm, The diligent city of John Hathaway. Three Cactus, the homely set of Bondgadget76, The Lost City of Atlantis, The original water-park of Atlantis and Utopia! (under redevelopment) by Neo, The Island of Far Far(far, far, far) Away! Home of Jordan! Rarwtony, containing the biggest mansion of Utopia, belonging to our resident bachelor, ball room and all, Mikester92, and so much more!

Titan, land of the titans, The place where death is an option, players are to fend for themselves, although support is on hand! The open Medical facility of Mikester92, The Supply store of LynxMukka and Bondgadget76, The resource farm of Neo, where trade is made for precious items, the first competitor to LynxMukka and Bondgadget76, and the open mines of Reggie, the vast networks of tunnels and caves, parts unexplored, full of items you would want!
the world is your oyster, made after the biomes were added to create the best the random-mapping-generator can throw at us.

Our servers are run on the UFP Dedicated server maintained by donations and Neo, running on the hey0mod framework , the servers were kept safe from griefers, and allowed excellent extra features, such as the minecart mods (allowing us to change the way they work!).

however, Hey0 has recently lost interest in the game, and the mod is now discontinued leaving Utopia offline until the replacement mod, Bukkit, to come online.

Titan is able to stay online, this is because unlike utopia, titan is more natural, no commands to give items, no changing time of day, and no restrictions. The only problem is that it's currently open to griefers.

You heard it here folks - resident bachelor!

But ya, Minecraft is awesome; you can build anything you want practically, it's like legos; but to a RL Scale!

I love Lego and I love MineCraft. If you like to make your own architecture, then you will love this game.

It's already been done it you search google for star trek enterprise and minecraft you will find some very impressive stuff.

I am also a big fan of minecraft, Great fun for all

I wouldn't take it personally, Tallaris. There were a ton of other places he could of mentioned, including the Winter Resort and Tree House; however, he stated towards the end of his second paragraph that there was 'so much more' to be found - in turn leaving the list of developed areas open for people to add to.

Our Woes are over Neo Bukkit is out And there is also a neat tutorial For transfering from HMod Also Minecart Mania! Also a lot of other Plugins http://forums.bukkit.org/forums/plugin-releases.17/ From what I read the Bukkit runs like plain minecraft to get added funcutionality you Need Plugins

I didnt forget people, i picked the starting places, the way we've grown, its impossible to list everything.....
also if you look at screenshots, you could tell I only walked down 1 road....

I really should join you guys some time... I play on my own from time to time, on my main city I have build a few different things, a fort, for which I've mostly abandoned, a castle, with a wooden balcony, high atop the towers I have lava flowing down into my "back yard" into lava pools. I've build a subway between my castle and my Pyramid (started at 51x51, should have made it bigger) and I've recently completed a high rise building next to the pyramid.

I've since started a new world (after the most recent patch with new wood, etc), and this one I do not play on peaceful but on normal, I've only started it so I have no buildings built, but I am living in a cave and mining so I can free myself of cave dwelling... I really need to farm though, as even with Iron Armor, I am low on health right now (not enough pigs around...)

Anyhow, with that said.... I guess I should get the IP address for the UFP servers so I can join in with you guys someday!

It is amazing how much things have changed, particularly on Utopia, it won't be long until a small square of land is left untouched by our super-axes. The Grand Library..is where it all started for me.

With a new dedicated server, land exploration is becoming more appealing, if there is anyone that's interested I'm sure we can set aside some land or even an island for your own area or join people like me who just 'rent' instead of buy.
