    I have preordered too! Cannot wait for this! Even if it is just a Stellaris (with a Star Trek skin 😂) conversion game - definitely seems like a lot of cool stuff and hey new Trek game in this genre - instant sign up! 😃 (I have been very broad in my assumptions but it does look the same as Stellaris - not a bad thing!). Can’t wait!

    To be fair, I have heard positive things about the Star Trek mod for Stellaris, so a dedicated game might do well!

    I do agree with you, the fact that they have the source code for the engine and can implement new features to their flavour of Stellaris is a good thing. Already with some of what we've seen, it looks like they've added the focus trees (or a varient thereof) from HOI4

    It comes out next week and the dev diaries are just fluff about their "inspirations" and other nonsense. It's a bad sign. The lack of information tells me that PDX is not confident in this project, or that there is virtually nothing to separate it from Stellaris save the IP, making it literally a reskin.

    As I've played the New Horizons mod for Stellaris, I'll still buy the game and play it, but I'm keeping my expectations pretty low on this one.
