Thought I'd toss out a fun question as I look at other ships to acquire for various gameplay:

In your opinion, what is the best Federation ship for an Engineer and why?

Is it BOFF abilities? Is it gameplay style? Or other reasons you think a certain Fed ship fits an Engineer best?

In terms of gameplay, any of the 3 careers can fly any ship in the game perfectly well. Engineer captain powers tend to synergize better with beams or cannons, but most of your build depends on gear, traits, boffs, and doffs. Captain career-specific abilities at most amount to a few percentage points of DPS, so any and all T6 ships can be built out to elite-capable levels with any of the 3 captain careers.

The real question here is what do you enjoy as a build, or what would you like to try? I'm sure we could all chime in with suggestions around a theme, but only you can decide what might be fun to you.

It's all of interest, really. I've been predominately running cannon builds. Mostly escorts. So if I was going to do something different it would be away from cannons specifically.

I've not done alot with the command or intelligence boff skills. I've never run a true carrier with hangar pets, but I see lots of stuff on those. There's also the support style builds that I've loosely looked at over the years.

That's why I phrased my question to know what others really enjoy building around their engineer. Lots of ideas to consider and wondering what others find as fun builds that they've been pursuing.
