    hi, it's been a very very long time since i dabbled with disruptors. but i've got a load of spiral wave disruptors sitting around, so figured i might make a cardassian pseudo-rp ship.

    but i also want it to be vaguely good xd So hoping people can provide advice on the consoles i should be getting, as I genuinely dont know of any disruptor consoles. havent even touched them since t5 were the top tier ships.

    they're going to be beam weapons, so directed energy buffs might also be useful

    First off, there are the Vulnerability Locators [Disruptor] from the fleet spire. Up your critical chance and disruptor damage.

    Lorca's custom fire controls plus the wide angle heavy disruptor dual beam bank or the dark matter torpedo might be another option.
    You get the console from Disco Rep T5, the disruptor variant of the beam bank unlocks at T6. The torpedo is available at T1. The 2-piece gives you stacking crit severity up to 25%.
    The beam bank might not fit the RP aspect though, the torp might fit better.

    The upcoming summer event ship will have a very nice console and trait for disruptor ships if you can do radiation, fire, ice, electric or psionic damage.

    There's also the new advanced engineering consoles you can craft. They're probably worth it if your ship has more engineering console slots than tactical ones.
    But (and this is a big but) you either pay really big bucks on the exchange for them or craft them yourself from materials you only get in elite TFOs. Rerolling them to the right flavor is also a pain, since they have over 30 modifiers on them.

    that is super useful, thanks! didnt realise they had collated them all under the relevant damage types

    i wish i'd known this, sooooo many consoles on that list, that i should be aiming to get

    don't suppose you have a guide or article, about these advanced engineering consoles? how to craft them etc.? as I almost always end up with an enginerring-heavy ship, because beam-tank is so easy and fun.

    first i'm hearing of them (been out of the game quite a bit recently). while i'll probably focus on the universal consoles initially, this sounds like something i ought to aim for, as my other builds also lack this

    Those consoles have only been added recently.
    You're looking for the "Isomagnetic Plasma Distribution Manifold" consoles, a list of all 4 consoles including the TFOs and materials you need can be found here.
    You'll need 5 fragments to craft a core and one core to craft the console from. Turning the fragments into cores can be done in your R&D, Special Projects tab. Crafting the consoles is in Science or in your case Engineering, Item - Advanced (Profession) Consoles.

    You will have to re-roll them to disruptor. Important: The [Dis]-modifier is resistance against disruptors, you want the [Disruptor] one.

    If you want, you can join us for the friday/saturday events. We're usually powerful enough to handle elite TFOs. And we know what we're doing, so failure rarely happens Wink
