    so yes I recently bought the legendary bundle and enjoying it. The scimitar is a beast and all the consoles are nice. It's coming along great. ONe thing i noticed as I was going through characters is i have 1 romulan, 6 fed, and 2 klingon characters. So I decided to make a new borg romulan character. I bought the lifetime rep, why not use it?

    So i'm goign to theme build around her for fun and to see what kind of goodies are out there for plasma. Was looking and both Lukari and Romulan rep stores have some cool stuff for plasma.

    So i'm going to have to build rep for this but i was thinking the experimental romulan plasma beam array, some dual plasma beam banks, and romulan torpedo that fires 3 at a time, for the for weapons.

    Aft weapons, Kinetic omni beam, plasma omni beam, and plasma turrets. (abuse the miracal worker improvised weapons seat)

    NOw besides the basic all around normal stuff liek comp engines, colony deflector and such, consoles are goign to be tricky. Only thing is idk if i should go with the Disco rep singularity or the thoron infused one from fleet. They would both be useful for different reasons. Disco rep would give hull regen bonus wit hthe tilly's shield.

    Zero point from romulan rep will go with the beam array and torp for the set.

    Lukari piezio electric infuser. 30% plasma bonus and turn rate of 15% will help get this bird where it needs to be.

    Lorca's because it's a staple everywhere.

    assimilated console to go with the cutting beam for the 2 peice

    in the udine rep, there is a console that gives bonus to engine, aux and a 23% flight turn rate. but the flight computer also gives a healthy bonus to turn rate and adds flanking damage. not sure if to get both or not. Turn rate goign to be important for this build, but idk how much it really needs.

    now with 3 tactical and 2 universal consoles those will be plasma locators. it should put my crit range around 30-40% since I can use romulan boffs cheap off the exchange.

    sustained radient field from iconian rep gives a bonus to weapon damage plus shield and hull heals get bonus'. might also be worth it to add to the mix

    M6 computer could be useful on this build as well.

    The Fek'la (klingon demon things) consol also gives a plasma bonus and if you get it to proc, adds more damage as fire i believe.

    A lot of good consoles out there. Thoughts on a good plasma thrower?

    The Legendary D'Deridex is one of those ships that is a prime candidate for the new Advanced Engineering "Isomag" console setups, as at the T6-X level this ship can slot as many as 7 of the Isomag consoles (if you also use the universal slots) vs 5 locators at most. It is a more expensive route, but it will give bigger DPS numbers. For the Tac slots, you can look at the consoles from the fleet colony holding to replace the locators since you wouldn't be able to use both isomags and locators at the same time, then fill the rest with universal consoles, subbing in things into tac and eng slots as budget or other options dictates. The colony consoles provide survivability along with damage buffs.

    On the maneuverability side, comp rep engines, evasive maneuvers with the phoenix box emergency conn doff, and/or Deuterium Surplus devices should all help you move from place to place easily enough, so I wouldn't fuss with consoles to buff turn rate or speed unless you don't have something better on hand to slot instead or you get other benefits like the Lukari one with damage.

    The singularity core piece is a personal choice. The Disco 2-pc set bonus gives a lot of hull regen, so it makes for a better all-around option. The Thoron core trades this to reduce the power losses from firing weapons, so it is better from a DPS min/max glass cannon angle.

    On a side note, the Rapid Emitting Armaments trait off this ship throws three big torps whenever you use the Tractor Beam boff ability. It does a ton of damage, but the range of Tractor Beam is only 5km and the AOE off the torps can wreck yourself in short order if you get too close, so just be careful with it since this ship doesn't stop on a dime.

    So doing some research and so far the 3 tactical slots look like its going to be the torment engine, Lorca and perhaps assimilated modual. So the iso mags are going tk be the best way for me to go with this build. They kinda expensive on exchange so maybe I can buy some from here in bulk if anyone wants to shoot me a good deal, or sell the elite Components and I can build/re-engineer them myself. I would need 35 of those components if anyone has them.

    As far as science slots, computer assisted flught computer, m6, and lukari consol for bonus Plasma damage.

    Weapons I'm going to abuse the miracle worker seat with 1 romulan torpedo (tosses e at a time) the Plasma beam from the set and 2 duel Plasma beam banks with pen for the front. 2 Plasma turrets, kinetic cutting beam, and a Plasma omni beam from lobi store. The idea is to abuse the competitive engine with both fire at will and scatter volley while abusing the commander miracle worker seats abilities for mixed systems. Should be tossing out torpedo, beams, and cannon shots in all directions, but the forward 90 degrees be the hot spot with the beam banks and romulan torpedo. Unblocking behind someone for the flanking bonus just to add to the slaughter.

    ok i'm having to much fun with this ship. The ambush predator thing with 5 superior Romulan bridge officers knocking the CD for the cloak to 5 seconds is so easy to abuse.

    so as an update for weapon selection i'm going to run the following:

    front
    Experimental Romulan Plasma beam bank from the rep store.
    Romulan Hyper-plasma torpedo launcher (fires 3 torps. not sure if effected by torp boff abilities)
    Romulan plasma duel beam bank X2 with 4X damage modifiers. They proc both plasma and disrupter debuffs. So more useful over the normal ones.

    Rear: Romulan plasma turrets X2
    Omni directional altalmid plasma beam array
    Cutting beam array

    Engineering slots 5X Bellum RCS accelerator (disco store) 40% flight turn and 1.2% crit bonus.
    Science: 0-point energy console / Peizeo electric focuser (30% plasma bonus damage 15% flight turn and shield cap. / computer assisted flight control (+10% flank damage +10% flight speed +30% turn rate + clicky grants +30% damage when flanking, +100% turn +20 damage resist +40 speed)

    Tactical: Lorca's fire control / Torment Engine / Plasma locator X 3 (filling in universal console slots)

    before the deflector and other pieces this should set my crit chance to 33% before rep bonuses/ or tech level XV elite/ and stuff from engines/shields/dish/and core.

    If i play this right, i could get to around 40% crit range running 3-400% damage boost on plasma damage + another 55% for decloaking +30% for rear arc +50% for mixed weapon system III. With tilliy's shield and the romulan plasma weapons doing both plasma burn and -10% damage resistance, this should turn out to be a fun ship. and with a 300% turn and flight boost along with comp engines, it should do what ever I want.

    bonus is most of this build is rep store and fleet. Already have the flight computer. got it for 5m BEFORE the price blew up. I could swap out a bellum for a M6 computer. firing haste might be useful but the idea is decloak. FIRE EVERYTHING. hit the tractor beam on the way out to launch the 3 plasma nukes. run and cloak again.

    So i picked up my first few pieces from fleet. the core and dish. it's slow going but as of now the crit is 27% and severity is 112%

    "she's a predator" trait grants 25% damage bonus for 5 seconds after uncloaking.
    Rapid-emitting armaments sends out 3 torpedos @ 20k damage each, 1 km burst range.
    using mixed armaments III for another 50% bonus damage (using cannons, beam and the torpedo barrage)
    Decloaking itself grants another 25% damage bonus.
    Computer assisted flight grants flanking damage bonus, and clicking it adds another 30% damage for flanking or doing rear arc damage.

    I haven't gotten other consoles yet, so i'm using what ever i scounge up for the moment.

    OK it's been a while since i updated, but since i'm moving 5k + miles over the last few weeks and leaving in the next 2, it's been busy.

    So i've worked on this a bit.

    Plasma duel beam bank X3 (going to switch to assimilated duel beam banks when i get some extra ec)
    Romulan hyper-plasma torpedo. LOVE THIS THING
    Regular bells and whistles for the core load out. colony deflector, thorium singularity, comp engines and tillie's shield as soon as I hit L5 disco rep.)
    Rear weapons 2X plasma cannons
    cutting beam
    Altimid plasma omni beam.

    Consoles
    Universal:
    Fek'iri torment engine (bonus plasma damage and bonus dot for plasma going off)
    Will be lorca's when i get to L5 disco

    Engineering:
    Bellem RCS X 2. 40% turn rate 1.4% crit
    bellem triburnium alloy 1.4% crit and +47.5 all resists.
    bellem triburnium alloy 11% hull bonus and more resists.
    M6 computer (don't have domino on this character.

    Science:
    Assimulated Modual
    Zero point conduit
    Computer assisted flight program (grants 30% flanking bonus damage/turn rate/fire rate bonus)

    Tactical:
    Plasma locator X3

    Stations
    beam overload 1 / Fire at will II
    tractor beam (abusing those plasma torps)
    Channeled deconstruction / attack beta / Kemocite weaponry
    Emergency weapons I / Aux to structure / reverse shield polarity II / Mixed armaments synergy

    All seated officers are superior Romulan operatives.

    Personal traits
    only after market i have is adaptive defence. Can't afford much else but i'm working on it.

    Ship traits
    She's a predator (ambush damage bonus for using attack patterns)
    Super charged weapons (firing torpedos grants bonus damage crit and severity for 10 seconds)
    Weapon system synergy (Firing energy weapons grants bonus damage to torpedoes and grants them 50% shield pen for 10 seconds)
    Explosive polarity shift: (5k damage 100% shield pen in 3km radius +5% damage per hit received when the ability ends)
    Rapid arming armaments (Tractor beam launched plasma torpedos. 21k damage X 3 1km blast radius + 500 damage dot for 15 seconds. Sets off the torment engine)

    I know it's no the best build at the moment. I need traits and i'm unsure what to get when i get the ec for it. I'll be unlocking stuff from fleet research as i get the credits. That should help out a lot, but it's going to take a while.

    Definitely second Bridger's recommendation for the disco 2-pc. Assuming you aren't running the Fortified version of the competitive rep engines that proc on heals, you might consider bumping up the EPtW to a higher rank and/or slotting a copy of one of the Narrow Sensor Bands MW BOFF powers on your commander MW/Eng seat. I'd also suggest swapping out one of your plasma turrets for a crafted plasma omni. One turret is fine for the MAS3 proc, but you can run a set omni, non-set omni, and KCB on the back at the same time, and an omni will do more DPS than a turret on this build setup. Plasma omnis are running around 2mil EC on the exchange or you can just craft one yourself if you have the Beams R&D unlock and the Beams R&D doff (you can get them from the K-13 fleet holding relatively easily if you go this route).

    Also, since the DD's tend to be sluggish, you might want to go to the Alhena system at the bottom of the Beta Quadrant map and run the "Defense Contract" patrol. You can loot a few "Deuterium Surplus" devices depending on how well you run the patrol (it isn't too hard), and it will unlock the crafting recipe to make more in the Engineering R&D school on your toon. This will give you the same proc you get from the Competitive Rep engines for 8 seconds every 45 seconds, so you can alternate between consuming these and using your rep engines to keep you zipping along. This will help a lot more than the engine batteries you have equipped now.     Definitely second Bridger's recommendation for the disco 2-pc. Assuming you aren't running the Fortified version of the competitive rep engines that proc on heals, you might consider bumping up the EPtW to a higher rank and/or slotting a copy of one of the Narrow Sensor Bands MW BOFF powers on your commander MW/Eng seat. I'd also suggest swapping out one of your plasma turrets for a crafted plasma omni. One turret is fine for the MAS3 proc, but you can run a set omni, non-set omni, and KCB on the back at the same time, and an omni will do more DPS than a turret on this build setup. Plasma omnis are running around 2mil EC on the exchange or you can just craft one yourself if you have the Beams R&D unlock and the Beams R&D doff (you can get them from the K-13 fleet holding relatively easily if you go this route).

    Also, since the DD's tend to be sluggish, you might want to go to the Alhena system at the bottom of the Beta Quadrant map and run the "Defense Contract" patrol. You can loot a few "Deuterium Surplus" devices depending on how well you run the patrol (it isn't too hard), and it will unlock the crafting recipe to make more in the Engineering R&D school on your toon. This will give you the same proc you get from the Competitive Rep engines for 8 seconds every 45 seconds, so you can alternate between consuming these and using your rep engines to keep you zipping along. This will help a lot more than the engine batteries you have equipped now. Between these 2 and Evasive Maneuvers (particularly if you grab the Emergency Conn Hologram and slot a copy of EPtE to trigger the quick cooldown), you can keep this thing zipping around the map a ton.
    Get the Disco Shield and Singularity Core.
    I dont have level 5 disco unlocked yet, but will grab when they become available.

    I have an assimilated omni plasma beam i got from a lock box, but should i sell it and use the crafted on instead?

    The higher EPtW i can do and swap it with the reverse shield polarity.

    If you have an assimilated plasma omni already I'd probably just go with that. All the non-set plasma omnis have a "2.5% chance of X proc, and those are never worth chasing.

    As for the signature pic piece, you'd probably be better off posting in the signatures forum. There are several good maps in game though to grab your own pics. My ship pic was taken in the Aenigma Nebula space zone around the Captain's Table for LTS accounts. The mission Sunrise in the Future Proof arc is also popular, and there are several other good backdrops in game depending on the look you want. Just go to the zone you want, angle your camera, and type /screenshot_jpg in the console to grab a pic, which should be found in the game install folders. You may want to dial up the graphics settings if you don't max out by default, and using the /renderscale command can upscale your resolution past the 100% limit. For instance, my monitor defaults to 1920x1080 resolution in game, but by typing /renderscale 1.5 it upscales to 150% of that, which is 4K resolution, whereas the slider controls in the options menu cap you at 100%. More advanced tricks are available too if you want to play with demorecord, but that's not critical unless you really want to micromanage fine details of the pic.

    Can't use the assimilated with the altamid. so i went ahead and sold it and used it to get traits for other toons.

    Also i found assimilated dual plasma beam banks in the fleet bank that had a limit 3, so i grabbed those and put back 2 assimilated plasma beam bank arrays. I LOVE the effect of those beams. worth the small dps trade off.

    Also i hit 54% crit after putting in the fire control, so I'm swapping out 2 locators for exploiters.

    Also swapped out a rcs for a triburnium to bring up my hull hp and bring the active resists to 54%

    Being Lexxi is a science officer, she can't use 'go down fighting' but i wonder if there are other traits i can use.

    On the trait piece, science and engineering don't really have a good career-specific trait to chase like tactical does in the honestly OP A Good Day to Die space personal trait, as it removes the low health condition requirement on a big Cat2 buff.

    The only science-specific trait that is fairly solid is Conservation of Energy if you were doing an exotic build and not running with a tank. There are plenty of non-career-specific traits to help boost DPS otherwise like Terran Targeting Systems, Intelligence Agent Attache, Duelist's Fervor, Context is for Kings, and others that may be situationally helpful depending on the rest of the overall build and your playstyle like Unconventional Systems and The Boimler Effect for cooldowns or possibly some survivability options like Pseudo-Submission or Repair Crews.
