I'll look into the others. Tomorrow is going to be the last day I get to play for about a week as my computer is shipped to me in kona. So I'm going to be dumping most of my dil into Phoenix boxes to epic out a few ships.

I cant wait to get a dps rating on my war bird. It just annihilates everything in its path popping in and out of cloak for that bonus damage.

Working on a legendary scimitar with a similar build. Abusing assimilated Plasma. So far duel beam banks are working out better than some cannon builds I did in the past. Burst dos isn't as high, bear sustained is much better.

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting to pick up A Good Day to Die since that is indeed Tactical captains only, just pointing out that neither Engineering nor Science really gets any career-specfic traits anywhere near as powerful as Tac gets in that one. I probably wouldn't bother with Conservation of Energy on a DEW build. I'm not 100% sure if Kemocite gets buffed by +exotic damage modifiers, but unless you have a lot of exotic sources of damage to buff on your build it probably isn't worth it except as a placeholder until you get something more broadly beneficial to slot.

There are enough traits out there that would more broadly impact your damage output like Beam Training (including the Superior version from K-13), Beam Barrage from Level 15 in Beams R&D, and/or Symbiotic Ice from the exchange to add extra damage, plus the stuff I mentioned previously.

SO i swapped out the Romulan torp for the altimid plasma torp to get the 3 piece 100% weapons haste bonus, and added both a duterium battery and advanced weapons amplifier battery.


HOLY CRAP she's fun to fly. getting flanking crits above 50k damage multiple times, the tractor beam rippign away shields right before the tripple plasma torps slam into the enemy for 300k damage. oh man this thing is incredible. I really need to parce it, but with my internet connection being fuzzy, and i'm on a laptop, idk if i could do it justice.

I admit I have more fun in the DDex than I should, considering "the ship sux" ect.

I toss all the tractor beam traits I can on the thing, making the tractor beam a one-shot weapon in most cases, which is nice since it has a short cooldown.

I'm thinking of putting this ship on my romuka. Tactical officer. I think the damage would crank way up with "good day to die" and "boilmer" along with a few others. Right now on my science, it's doing insain damage with critical hitting in the 160k range, but I'm still only dpsing in the 90ks.

Current build. Think this is as close to awesome as I can get without spending all my money for ec. I believe this would hit WAY harder on a tactical character, so i'm moving the build to my Romulan tac officer and hoping to see better results. IM getting some crits as high as 300k but unsure why it's parsing at only 90k

Dropping the same setup on a Tac toon might get you a few extra percentage points of damage. Tac toons often get hyped by the min-max crowd, but for general play you might not even notice the difference unless you are parsing combat logs. Things like gear, traits, piloting, boffs, doffs, team composition, etc. can have a bigger impact at the end of the day, so for the cost to replicate this setup on a new toon, you might be better off just investing in something more premium for this toon, unless your long term goal is to chase "bleeding edge meta DPS potential" for the ship, in which case a Tac toon can again add maybe a few percentage points boost on top of everything else.

Other than that, the other thing to potentially consider is grinding for isomag advanced consoles instead of exploiters. On most DEW build types an isomag will outperform a locator or exploiter of the same type, and this particular ship can run up to 8 isomag consoles, which is the maximum any ship could possibly get right now. You'd probably see a bigger difference doing this than replicating the same setup on a tac. Also it looks like you didn't invest in EPS transfer rate skills, so the higher starting power levels might offset what might be steep weapon power drain hits you may be experiencing with 7 energy weapons all firing at once. Isomag consoles can be pricey if you just buy your way into them off the exchange, but if you grind elite queues and craft them yourself it is far cheaper.

The fastest way to grind it is to run Into the Hive and Miner Instabilities elite ground queues. Elite ground is much easier than elite space, and it is really inexpensive to grab stuff to make a solid or even meta ground build compared to buying really just about anything good for space builds. Once you have 5 isomag tokens, you can craft at mk ii (never waste your time and resources crafting a higher mk level for anything in R&D). If you don't want to waste the time and dilithium re-engineering for [Plasma] mods, you could just sell the one you make on the exchange and use the proceeds to buy one with the right mod. Isomag consoles generally sell for a good amount of EC, particularly those with some sort of DEW damage mods.

elite grounds are easy. i have a character that's actually good at ground and it should make getting the mats easier. thanks for the information.

Been grinding and i replaced much of the build with 8 ISO plasma manifolds and got them to epic or very rare status for plasma. after doing my parsing, i didn't see any real change in the dps. What am I doing wrong? Are there traits i should be using that I don't have? Are my boffs abilities not working?

I wasn't able to open your links, so not sure on your build. If you are trying to share images from a URL, the URL needs to end in a supported format like .jpg . Looks like your URLs may not be linking to the images directly but rather some sort of landing page with the image embedded in it, so that might be the issue there.

As far as the parsing itself, factors such as game server performance (which has been bad lately) and team composition (if applicable) can have big impacts on parses. Also, not sure which map(s) you are parsing, but the Borg redesign has had an effect on parses for maps like Infected Space, as the new Assimilator models have much smaller hit boxes, which makes them harder to hit with some AOE builds and lowering DPS numbers due to the additional cleanup compared to the old Cubes.
