Each Star Trek show is unique in it's own way - with the Original Series starting it off, TNG revolutionizing it, DS9 changing the setting, VOY changing the quadrant, and ENT going all the way back to the beginning of long-distance space travel; the next show will need to be equally unique and engaging. To be honest, instead of a new show I would rather see Enterprise continued for at least another season or two. Or Perhaps set one between TMP era and TNG

I think if anything, they will focus on a remake of TOS with the new characters (or cheaper versions of them).
I'd personally welcome more of the TMP era, because it's always good to see more of a good thing. But this will be very unlikely, nor will it be refreshing or revolutionary in anyway from the Poll's stance.

I think a cool way to do a new Star Trek show would be to sort of divide it up between different ships and crews. Like maybe for a season they focus on Captain Harriman and the B, then the next they do Captain Sulu and the Excelsior, or the Stargazer, and so on.
Would that be practical? No. Would it be interesting? Probably.
