Captain Pike and his crew welcome a Klingon defector aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, but his presence triggers the revelation of some shocking secrets.

Under The Cloak of War is episode 8 of 10. This episode sees the Klingons involved again. Apologies for the late post, but I thought the early release of episode 7 had changed things up but they've stuck to the original dates and just bumped the episodes up by a week.

Definitely a tonal shift from the past few weeks, and nice to see more character building on backstory topics that have been only vaguely hinted at in prior episodes. All in all not a bad episode, but from an overall episode flow perspective it seems jarring to drop this episode between the comedy of last episode's Lower Decks crossover and what will likely be another upbeat episode next week with the "Subspace Rhapsody" musical episode.

This episode was Dark, also interesting to see star fleet infantry in actual body armor, refreshing compared to the troops we see in the siege of AR-558 who just wore their regular uniforms, bugged the heck out of me.

I really enjoyed it.
One for character development, and two, because it showed the struggle that those who have seen war face when they come home. Something that doesn't get nearly enough attention.

Yes it was good episode overall, normally I've not had a bad thing to say about SNW but Klingons don't have tear ducts. he was crying therefore it broke the immersion for me >.<

We only have Spock's word for that and he wasn't above a bit of exaggeration
