Hello everyone, I've been meaning to write an intro message in this forum for some time, but I see a squirrel, and well, you know. I’ve participated in other discussions already in the community but should make an introduction post just to keep in line!
Recently, as in the last few months, I got back into Star Trek everything. I've always been a fan but when Paramount+ was brought into my house I suddenly had access to all the shows and movies again, and it was a blast from the past. Also finding new shows I've enjoyed in PICARD and STRANGE NEW WORLDS to binge on.
I started digging out info on all the old Star Trek games, I have a thing for old retro games anyway. I then recalled STO and started reading up some on how it's still online. An interesting nugget I’ll share is all the way back when STO was new I started up with a company that provided support to MMOs. It was just answering tickets and occasionally popping into someone's instance like a game master for one issue or the other. I even logged back into my old account registered on 06/21/2011. I don’t recall what they were but as soon as I logged back in it started messaging me with rewards for anniversaries and what not.
So needless to say, I am starting over and more a noob than some person that was actively playing since 2011 but it's been fun. I’m a super casual gamer, and time being limited I move slowly. I believe that my newest character has progressed to Lieutenant Commander, and I've just been picking my way through different stories and episodes, trying to take in the interface and options for toon, crew, and ship.

Welcome aboard. While I do usually play a bit daily, I, too am a casual player. I tend to model my play somewhere between aesthetics and performance, so I'll never top the DPS charts but I'll look good to me not doing it! Again, welcome aboard. We're glad you're here.
