Sorry if this has been covered before.
Last night I experienced a majorly rage-inducing bug which wiped out every single one of my ships loadouts traits. This was for Personal Space, Starship & Reputation traits. It also originally took out ground traits too, but those would transfer over to each ship in turn that I readied up once I did them the once. However, EVERY SINGLE ship lost all its traits no matter what loadout I picked.
This only appeared to happen after I discharged a ship I wasn't using anymore and wanted to declutter. If I move ships to drydock, this doesn't happen, but if I discharge a ship permanently that had a loadout saved - this seems to happen.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I'd be delighted to offer any advice I have on understanding women. When I have some, I'll let you know.

Broken loadouts are a perennial bug within the game. Usually what you are describing with mass-cross-ship loadout breaks is triggered by resetting your skill trees, but that is far from the only potential trigger for a loadout to break down. There are any number of myths and legends on what you should do to minimize the problems out there, but I don't personally put much stock in them. The only reliable piece out there is that you should be in space (not sector space) when saving changes to a loadout as some parts don't save on other maps, but beyond that a broken loadout might as well be a feature attached to a failed RNG roll at this point for all tried and failed attempts to fix it over the years.
