    I'm left wondering how much would be apparent to us at the "fan level." The obvious thing would be if, as the article suggest is possible, Paramount+ gets shut down. In which case the Trek shows get shopped back out to other streaming services (dare I dream they come back to Netflix?). Beyond that, do you think there's much direct impact on us?

    I think the impact is yet to be seen. It could be as minimal as a short period of time where Star Trek is not available until a new provider is chosen all the way up to projects being shelved. I think the latter is less likely but I've learned to never say never.

    It appears that Warner Bros are talking with Paramount in the early stages towards a merger.

    New word is out that Skydance is in an exclusive deal to merger with Paramount. The deal still needs approval from an independent board, so still early on by the sounds of it, but sounds firmer than the rumors over the past several months. I'd link the article I found, but it was a paid Wall Street Journal link, so not sure how many would get any use from it.
