I know a good amount of us are playing this and I for sure love the game. So far I have almost 600 hours in but I haven't beaten it XD I am getting close on my Forest Gnome Paladin and I intend to actually beat it this time. I have a durge in Act 3 as well but I think I'm gonna stop that playthrough and do a playthrough with my friend as durge.

So far, I have played Act 1 so many times I can play it in my head. I love this game so much - one of my favorite ones ever, I think.

I have around a hundred hours on record now. Three playthroughs at once, my ranger is at the start of act 3, my paladin mid-act 1 and my sorcerer at the start of act 1. Already have some mods for QOL and additional items installed, but mostly for looks and flavor, I don't want power creep.

My favourite character is Shadowheart (I fixed her!), my least favourite is Astarion (I just can't) and Halsin is cool too. Gale too.

So far it's squarely in my top 5 games if all times and a worthy successor to BG2, which is my favourite game of all times. I finished BG2 eight times so far, five of those with ToB. I have hundreds of mods installed on my BG1/2 installation and still played it regularly before the baby arrived.

So I'm not usually a fantasy gamer but I do love baldurs gate. I suspect it's because a friend got me into DnD and I've been able to kind of make my irl character there (shame there's no kitsune race)

What made you stop playing?

I mostly felt like the game suddenly became very directionless in Act 3. I suppose I could stumble around until I find the plot, but I just wasn't engaged enough to give it more time, sadly.

That said, I'm an older gamer and still prefer Pillars of Eternity 1 and Baldur's Gate 1 to it, so a lot of it is just that I have very particular preferences in my CRPGs.

I love Astarion! He takes a bit to grow on you but he really did so. My wife 100% is in love with him, it's amusing. And sorceror is cool, I have my Gale as one - I think he's the dragonkin one.

Oh fair - when was the last time you played? Act 3 is pretty busy these days, lots to do and everything, and a lot less buggy than it used to be. It's a lot trying to tie up everyone's stories and then do the main story quest as well, but I'm working on it.

I have quite a few of those mods installed as well.
Be careful though that some of those mods vastly increase the difficulty of combat, depending if you (and/or your friend) want a quieter story-focused playthrough it's not the best to install.

Oh I know, I use them on my current run. I use them to scale up difficulty for party limit begone and unlocked level cap. I am at a point though where it's super difficult (because I am near the end of the game). Hopefully I can get through it tonight XD

Tell me about your Tav! I've tried a lot of different things. My latest is a Tiefling Druid, inspired by the D&D movie, which makes Act One interesting!

Do you use any mod, if so, which ones? I haven't done much by way of mods on my PC version, mainly because they won't work on console. I wish they would change that.

So the latest update came out and my friend had to uninstall her game and all the mods before we can start again x.x

I did find a wonderful mod named "Into the Void" and it lets me use party limit begone but then you can choose who you don't want in battles. So I only have four people while I'm walking around with eight or so. It's great!! I know I mentioned it before but it works REALLY well! I need to go look for mod updates before I get back into my game with my friend but... been hooked on other games.
