Problem Title
RPG-X Crashing to Desktop
Specified Game
RPG-X Mod
Description of the Problem
When I'm in an RP using either RPG-X, ioEF or IoCow the game suddenly crashes back to the desktop for no noticable reason. No Error messages appear besides the generic one telling me it crashed with a button for ok.

I am running it with 768mb for the hunkmegs. And it does it with all various settings for graphics.

The only map I've really used is the old strp-hqv2 but i've not really had the problem with RPGXEF.

Thought I'd ask here, in case someone had an idea.

What OS, and could you possibly post your PC specs it might help the guys Resolve the problem quicker.

I use Windows XP and my specs are,

1.5 GB of Ram
Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz Processor
ATI Radeon 9200 Series graphics card (But I've never had this problem before with EF)

I tried reinstalling once but it didnt help

When exactly does it crash to the desktop?

At random times. Normally when I am in the middle of an RP. I've seen it happen a minute or two after I join the server, and other times after an hour or so

Are you using patch 1.2 or the Expansion pack?

And are you running any background programs?

Expansion Pack and yeah, but no AV or Firewall software. Mostly just MSN and Firefox

Hmm, have you installed any maps/skins to your game that could be affecting it?

I will see if I can find anything online that is related to your error.

Could you give me a list of anything you have edited/installed/patched etc of your EF game and I will see if I can find a solution

Map and skin wise I dont think, unless two are clashing that I dont know about.

All I have installed is ioEF and IoCow but I only put those in cause of the crashing to try and stop it.

I recommend:

Lowering your graphics (looking the issue up on google that was one of the resolutions)

And

Make sure you have the latest diretx that was another recommended solution.

Or alternately

starting from scratch. Delete your whole eliteforce folder then reinstall, install your expansion pack or patch 1.2, then install rpgxEF and ioEF. Create the shortcuts and test the game. Open your concole and see if there is any warning to the crash.

Before installing rpgxEF install Rpgx. Sorry I left that part out

I gave that a go in case it was that randomly to no affect

Its totally up to date due to other games I play, I have DirectX 9.0c

I'll try the uninstall and patch idea, as I've already tried uninstalling and putting it back together with the Expansions Pack

You say rpgxEF is working fine, could you be using maps that are designed more specifically for rpgxEF, and not RPG-X?
