This has been an option for a while, however the original post regarding this was deleted.
In addition to the usual officer ranks of Lieutenant JG, Lieutenant, and Lieutenant Commander; we are now allowing members who wish to volunteer the option of using NCO ranks instead of the officer ranks. Below is a conversion chart for each Tier and the corresponding Officer/NCO rankings.
Tier 1 - Lieutenant Junior Grade / Chief Petty Officer
Tier 2 - Lieutenant / Senior Chief Petty Officer
Tier 3 - Lieutenant Commander / Master Chief Petty Officer
To use the NCO ranking system, simply select Yes on the application form:
If your application is accepted, you will be able to continue using the NCO ranks.
