    I'm glad the Recon Rocket Vehicle was "refined" to the transporters. It would have changed a lot of things had they had to use rockets to land on planets.

    I agree completely - it is interesting tho that the idea of transporters, which are so quintessentially Star Trek, only came into being due to the cost of filming landings… sometimes a lack of money can be a good thing! 😀
