Fort Reggie

Over the past week I have been doing a thorough investigation into the project reality mod and have been spending most of my time in the two popular co-op servers for the game.

AoD Chicago on Kashan Desert and the Veterans Gaming server.

During this time I've had the pleasure of running sorties in Trans Supply Blackhawks, running Anti-tank sorties in Apache teams taking out the convoys as they approach South and North Bunkers. Doing recon team in Qwai River with some of the finest squad commanders that PR co-op has to show and ofcourse playing about with an AA humvee taking down every MiG that dared show its face!

[Top squad! Yours truly running medic on the best team in the co-op game... almost second place, hehe]

So what does this have to do with you guys?

I'd like to get going again with a regular meet and greet on a co-op or regular deployment and start honing the skills of a decent squad for {UFP} and get some proper and decent gaming going up. If anyone who has PR would be interested in doing either weekly or bi-monthly sorties then please sign up!

I hope to keep things fun and try not to be too strict in game, as long as we stick to the rules run a decent mission and pretty much play about with the classes and roles!

I would really be interested in this, i think it kinda fell down when i didn't get to finish my training with Adzy but aww well

Last night I took the squaddies out on a bit of a reccy into kashan desert on bad dreams with =GB= (formerly AoD server), Me, Mikester, Adster and Seeker ventured out in the wild to see what we could do! Mikester was pretty much in his first match with a squad in project reality and we were running him through the basics.

Seeker being relatively new as well as adster so we were incredibly new and shakey when it came to battle. On our first trip out we trained mike in the works of being a medic by shooting seeker and adster a couple of times, when he got the hang of it we hotdropped into north bunker, set up a base and started blasting the tanks and aircrafts!

This server being this server we had a magnificent show of force by the US side with A10s, Apaches and F-16 jets flying left right and center over our heads. In the end we managed to control the position and take out any armoured or enemy vehicle that came our way.. In the first 5 minutes of landing mike managed to somehow get an unscoped kill of an enemy soldier! a great feat for his first game

At the end of the battle seeker had managed to clock up a relatively high number of APC and tank kills, Adster had managed to take our a fair few MiGs and SU aircraft and Mike and me had managed to get quite a high teamscore to make up for it

In the end we lead the server with a score of over 5,000 and the highest amount of kills for a squad. For a first run out I would definately say this was mikesters hayday!

The night went on to produce some other interesting results which I will save for another post ...

It was played on a Co-Op server, so the opposing team is filled with bots.

SO! the date is the 27th and ME, Mikester, Neo and Adster had an hour or two free so we went forth into the world of project reality on the VG server, I had squad leader, Mikester had medic and Adster and Neo had the AR and Rifleman between them!

We started on Jabal Al Burj as an Infantry squad and headed deep into the thick of it as the main squad attack and capturing the tactical points, getting way layed because we were the only squad capping points near east beach (west beach wasn't capped yet!) we set up defences on the bridge and took out a couple APCs. The rest of our team went to west jabal hotel to snipe and win by attrition, in the mean time we moved off by helicopter to capture West beach before heading back to our original defence position!

The match was great fun! building up our accuracy skills when it came to the small fire fights and enabled us to go with a fair few deaths as possible! as you can see from the screenshots we got top squad!

Neo left just before the end however, we would have had a higher score with him there!
