What are the little annoyances in STO that accumulate to the point that sometimes you want to rip out your hair and run screaming around buck naked foaming at the mouth and tea bagging random objects?

My pet peeves:

Idiots on the main chat channel.
Idiots running around in the space docks with their fire extinguishers or party noisemakers or those cryo grenades.
People adding you to a fleet without asking. (I find that worse than people spamming it on chat.)
TAB targeting unavailable if enemy is out of screen (e.g. if you have some enemies running around you and you've killed the ones in your game window, but there are others firing at you behind or around you out of screen causing you to have to waste time zooming out or repositioning your view just to target).

Those are my only complaints.

By the way, there's a very simple remedy to getting out of Enemy Contact Signals. As soon as you see your interface appear when you warp in the instance, hover and get ready to click your warp button as soon as a dialog box pops up for the instance. Ignore the pop-up and click warp and "Get outta Dodge!" Works most of the time. Gotta be quick though.

I believe in the options you can change how targets are selected in order to enable targeting of hostile targets that are not within your field of view.

I can't recall what options you need to change but you definately can do it so you can target off screen enemies using the tab key. If I can work out what options I changed to achieve this I will let you know.

I think that latency and server capacity kill the game more than the myriad of bugs in the game....

I can't recall what options you need to change but you definately can do it so you can target off screen enemies using the tab key. If I can work out what options I changed to achieve this I will let you know.

I found it under Controls. I never thought to look there since I rarely change control settings with any game. Anyway, thanks again for the heads up.
