At first glance it looks like a solid build to me. Since you have Skills points in both Projectile Weapons abilities and TS3, the one thing I would suggest is that you try the two piece Adapted Maco Set as it gives a +25% bonus to Torp Damage.

Officer skill wise seems like a good fit.

About the only thing I would mention ship wise is exactly what Admin said. The Adapted Maco Set would increase your torpedo damage output making it already greater. Actually, you probably should replace that torpedo as well. I'd recommend either the BioPhoton, the Graviton or the Wide Angle. The BioPhoton has a chance to incubate which deals damage, the Graviton has a chance to become a Grav Well (though with High Yield it will become one) and the Wide Angle gives you a wider chance to launch those torps. Though not that you need that last advantage, being an escort.

Trait wise is where I'd recommend my improvements for you. All my changes are to swap out chance based damage to consistent damage. So let's get started.

Omega Graviton Amplification is a chance based proc. You'll want to swap it out for Omega Kinetic Shearing which always adds a bleed of 40% onto your torpedo. That's a huge amount of damage that will always occur. Which is always nice.

While Precision is a nice skill that boosts up your critical damage, swap it out. You already have a lot of built in critical chance from everything, its better to let it go. A better way to increase damage is to take Enhanced Shield Penetration. This allows 7.5% damage you do to bypass the shield. Get a critical hit on the shield? Well, that's 7.5% that goes right though. It may not seem like a lot, after all, its only 7.5%, but it will.

Swap Advanced Targetting Systems for Tactical Advantage. Tactical Advantage improves your damage by adding a resistance debuff of up to 15% as health goes down. Sure, you need to get him or her down to 50% before it kicks in, but when their health goes down that far, you will hit harder and harder.

Tactical Precision is a great skill for adding consistent damage. Good choice.

And that's that. Hope that helps you out.

I would recommend the Grav torp over the Bio torp. Then you could toss on either a console, the experimental proton weapon, or both - all of which further boosts Crit-related stats (which work well with Antiproton weapons) and relevant torpedo damage.

I actually found (to my surprise) that when I had the Grav torp, replacing a DHC with the experimental proton weapon increased my DPS. It's worth running it with and without a few times to check for yourself. The crit-related set bonuses are really nice.

I am running the 2 piece set on my JHDC with the proton weapon in back and finding good success with it. However, I'm surprised that you you actually saw better DPS replacing a DHC up front. I'm assuming this is because the proton weapon innate crit stacked with the set crit bonus is doing some good damage overall?

Thanks for all the advice you guys!

Will begin implementing once I get home from work. Going to have to shift some dil from my main, but then I can start experimenting.

The traits will be the easiest, but I'll have to see if I have access to all of them yet.

Graviton Amplification? Lol, that should have been Kinetic Shearing anyway. I just clicked on the wrong one in the build planner because it was 2:00 AM and both icons were green.

As far as switching to the Adapted MACO, should I be too concerned about swapping from the resilient to covariant shields? The 25% buff to torpedo damage makes it a no brainer, so I guess I'll just have to see what happens.

Yes, I think it's because it doesn't take away from the two CSV1s I would regularly spam, while increasing the crit for everything. The increased arc may also have allowed it to hit more, as I was getting into firing positions.

It was consistently 1-2k higher on all eSTFs than the Grav torp + 3 Fleet Plasma DHCs. (Can't remember if I had the console on in addition to that.)
