    So, erm, Hi all.

    KazFerret here, kazuma@spikegeordie in STO, have been level 50 for a couple of weeks, after working through the story missions, am now working my way through the tiers in the reputation system and collecting the pearls in the summer festival, hoping to collect enough to get both the cruiser and the corvette, I live in South West London, England and am 32 years young, general sc-fi and fantasy lover.

    Greetings and welcome to the UFP! The holiday cruiser is a nice ship, not sure if you'll be able to get enough to get both ships without spending Lobi on pearl boxes. Currently, I occasionally do it to stock up for next year Tongue Out

    I am trying to get both and I didn't get the corvette last year.
    Once you get a ship you can get it on any other character for only 40 pearls, so I am getting one ship on my main and another on my alt and when both projects are done, I'll swap and get the other ships.

    Anyways, welcome Kaz. What sci-fi and fantasy do you read?

    Yeah I spent a few zen on some master keys to buy a few pearls, decided that it would be way too expensive to get very many that way, currently just over half way on the cruiser.


    Anyways, welcome Kaz. What sci-fi and fantasy do you read?
    Terry Pratchett's discworld series, Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, Eoin Colfer's Artimis fowl series, Stephen King's Dark Tower series, Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy, the three Red Dwarf books are seriously excellent, I have a bookcases full of books that I don't have time to read

    I've never gotten the chance to read discworld, but the other stuff is good. I actually have a Hitchhikers guide compilation book. Recenly I have been reading Clarke novels (I need to fighure out where I out 2010 though), and the Coyote series by Allen Steele.

    Have you read those at all?

    I have not, I have a vague recollection of reading 2001: a space odyssey, but it was when I was still at school and I remember next to nothing about it, the Coyote series looks good I might add it to my Kindle, which currently has the whole adventures of the Enterprise E on it, the biggest problem I have is that I am an intolerably slow reader (I'm dyslexic) and starting a new series and getting through them can take me years and I do get drawn to really long series of books, I am currently about a quarter of the way through the Aubry-Maturin series by Patrick O'Brien (Not fantasy or Sci Fi, but quite a good read) that is twenty one books long and goes in to intricate details on how to rig a sailing ship that con get quite dry.
