Firstly, in recent weeks there has been some debate over the way in which certain community positions are displayed on our signatures. Starfleet Command raised these concerns with FEO, who agreed that from now on, full STO position titles will be included on all relevant UFPlanets.com signatures. This means that there will no longer be any ambiguity or confusion regarding members positions.
However, as a surprise addition to the signature standard, I am extremely pleased to announce that we have introduced a degree of uniform variation. This means that as of this announcement all members are permitted to use one of three canon uniforms from the Star Trek franchise; The Next Generation Film uniform, The Next Generation Series Uniform and the Voyager uniform. This is very much in the trial phase, but I hope that this will prove popular enough to become a permanent feature.

These additions have been carefully selected so as to allow all members the opportunity to have a greater say in which uniform they wear, whilst remaining conscious of the need to maintain some semblance of uniformity across our current signatures. We will retain an orderly appearance on the forums, whilst allowing for greater variety when it comes to personal preference. It was always a necessity to us that the selected uniforms be iconic so as to ensure a standardised and recognisable appearance to all Trek fans.
New Federation signature guides have been created (thanks to the hard work of both Sammygm and Jordan!) which outline all the necessary information required to put together your new uniform (KDF and Romulan guides will follow soon). These guides will be located in the resource centre within the signature requests section. I hope both new and old members find them useful.
I believe these additional choices will allow community members a greater degree of personal preference in making their forum signature! It is my hope and that of the graphics team that you all enjoy them!

Will the TNG Season 1 admiral uniform be included? Because, that's quite a fancy uniform! The Voyager set never had an admirals variant I don't believe, when one was seen on screen, it was the TNG film.

For the moment there are no plans to include any extra uniforms, nothing stopping any of the admiralty from just using the standard uniforms though!
Also, can we use the TNG combadge, to go with the TNG uniform?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't all three versions appeared alongside each other on-screen? Which makes this a rather canon approach.
Unless I'm mistaken, not all three at once. TNG and DS9* appeared often together in early DS9 / late TNG, and DS9* and movie version appeared together in Voyager.
*The "Voyager" uniform will always be attached more to DS9 for me, since I stopped watching DS9 before it changed.

I love this idea. I know KDF is still on the way but I would love for Honor Guard to be a KDF option. We work so hard to get them, would love to show it off!
The Klingons and Romulans always need some love. Thus if you have any suggestions or ideas, let Three (Head of Starfleet), Ashley/Nova (HoK CO/XO), and Kerry (SFO) know them. Perhaps something can be done. Never know until you ask. 
Otherwise, I do like the TNG uniforms. Definitely going to login and take some updated screenshots.

This is very exciting! I'm always so particular about the uniforms my characters wear, so this same attention to detail I really admire. I have to admit, I do like the Odyssey uniform, but I'm glad to see there are more variations now. I might have to try on that Voyager uniform later!
