History Of The Ship Class:

The Mogh-class came out of a minor arms race between Klingon and Starfleet ship designers and was meant to be the Klingon Defense Force answer to the new Avenger-class battlecruiser.

Ambassador Worf was given the honor of naming the class, and chose to name it after his father Mogh, son of Worf, a warrior who died in the Khitomer Massacre of 2346.

Final conclusion:

The ship still performs extremely well even after all the years it has been released, it takes a bit to get used to her sluggishness but once you figured it out it is a War machine.

These are always a treat to check out. Any chance of including some possible alternative choices for some things? Like, I have both of the Anniversary ships you use pieces of, but that's not a given, and there are a couple of traits/doffs/etc. this uses that I don't have.

That's because the build is only half the answer. The other half is piloting/positioning/using all your abilities at the right times. I don't think that part gets nearly the attention it deserves (and, I suspect like you, it's the part I'm worst at).

Indeed, you can have the best gear you want if you don't know how to position your ship and know when to activate your abilities you will never see the full performance of your ship.

Most of my builds don't use shield heals anymore the reason for that is that shields are gone so quickly and special against the Borg so the best thing is to use abilities that increases your hull healing.

This is the IKS Vokor'At, my own take on the Mogh. It's a cannon+one torp approach, which makes it a bit more finicky, but I just like it so damn much.

That is also a nice build, I try to run my Defiant that way, but I have problems to learn the piloting with cannons so I like that challenge.
