    The Destiny Trilogy is really good too. I would recommend starting with Resistance then go to Before Dishonor then Greater Than the Sum and then to the Trilogy. Following that order will make it a very good read.

    Well I admit I'm much more a fan of the Trek TV Series and Movies... I'd honestly love to see someone write a novel or series of novels that advance the timeline rather than always looking back.

    Perhaps there are a few limited Novel's that take place after the TNG Movies... I just wish we had a Trek Series that was brave enough to go there.

    Star Trek The Fall is a series of novels that encompasses characters from both TNG and DS9. It's really rather good.

    I'm a big fan of the "A Time to..." series. Does a great job of filling in the time of the Post-Dominion War and set between the TNG movies of "Insurrection" and "Nemesis". Goes into wonderful detail of the various characters of the Enterprise (main and others) that gives you some new perspective on the people.

    I'm a big fan of the "DS9 Relaunch" books. They start with "Avatar Book One" and continue through "Unity", before turning in to crossover territory with other series. I've only read up to about midway through the DS9 exclusive part, but they were all at least entertaining.

    Also good was the "Double Helix" cross-over series, as well as the "Section 31" cross-over, one of which is part of the DS9 relaunch.

    A good book to read as a follow up (as it takes place right after A Time To and during the events of ST Titan Taking Wing/The Red King and before TNG A Death In Winter) is "Articles of the Federation" by Keith R.A. DeCandido.

    He's one of my favourite Trek Authors, and the book reads like a "West Wing" episode, but in SPAAAACE! It does an amazing job of explaining how the Federation Government works, from elections to how the Office of The President deals with a diplomatic incident or how it interacts with the Federation Council.

    It also deals with the aftermath of the events in the final books of the A Time To series and sets up the political climate of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants in all Trek books to come.

    As Lore books go, this is one of the most dense of them all, as it touches on so many different things and shapes everything that comes after it.

    An Absolute Must Read.

    Also, if you're a political drama junkie (like me), this book is right up your alley.

    That would make it a good read... it's also the chronological order (and publish order as well Wink )

    Before Dishonor though is a slog to read. I love Peter David, his work on Spider-Man and other Marvel titles are amazing, but he's not that good a trek author...
