    I don't expect the show to look like it is from the 60's, but to at least follow what we know technologically at that point in Trek history. And those Klingons, not sure what happened to them.

    My biggest issue is they said it is part of the prime timeline, not JJ, not a completely new re imagining. This means you have to follow established history. If they just came out and said, our series tosses everything you know out an airlock and starts over, I would have said, ok cool.

    Don't promise me Romulan ale and serve me root beer.

    That rant being said, it does look pretty polished and a little awesome if I do say so. I am going forward that this is a completely new Star Trek in a re imagined world, where the Prime universe does not apply.

    Any chance we could stream the first episode over the UFP or at least all connect on Team Speak? Would make for an awesome experience.

    The issue isn't with people wanting Trek. The issue is the decisions the executives took. It's understandable they don't want to base series around the the lack of technology TOS and pre-TOS era, however, why didn't they then focus on TNG or series after DS9 if this is the case?

    I've seen the trailer and I can't digest it being a pre-TOS era. It's simply too advanced to accept all that happend before Kirk, and that Kirk went in stone age.. And then on top of that they say it's not even Kelvin timeline, when it does seem like Kelvin timeline..

    Not even sure what they want to put out anymore.. I will watch it nonetheless, no doubts there.

    Personally, the kind of Trek I was looking forward to was the ones from the TV shows, maybe the animations improved versions but still relevant to those shows. I guess I simply should begin getting used to the "Lens Flare Trek" now..

    And the Discovery trailer fits more with JJ universe. Like someone said before me, what they did to Klingon. I could digest the Bridge look technology but ouch for the Klingons.

    When i tihink about it, i have a better chance of seeing the Orville way before i can see the new Star Trek show.
