I suppose it sounds cool but I'm too much of a wimp to have microchips inserted to my body.
Microchip implants has been around for a while I thought, I definitely remember watching previous videos on them a few years ago.

It sounds interesting to me, but I'll stick with having a door access fob on my car keys - This looks like a technology/process that is looking for a problem to solve.

Hmmm so instead of having our passwords inside our heads we are now to have our password located in say our finger, or hand...... how long till someone realizes they dont have to force someone to reveal their password they can just chop off a finger or hand?
As a transhuman I have no qualms about adding tech to augment our bodies that said they should make sense, this to me has far to many flaws security wise to be being used in a secure manner.

I've heard of this technology being used, but I personally would stick to cards and fobs, of course, who knows, in the future, companies might force employees to have a chip to unlock doors.

My cat has one, but I don't think she can open any doors with it.

You can get cat flaps that open to your cats chip, so she can open doors! You just need to install one she can open.

We wouldn't need these sort of solutions if people hadn't been trained to come up with passwords that are hard for humans to remember but easy for computers to guess. Personally I think a better password system would involve a call-response mechanism since the challenge can function as a mnemonic device, the issue is when all the questions are easily obtainable information like mother's maiden name or your dog.
That said, using identity as a credential rather than just some supposedly secret character string isn't a bad idea, but I don't see why you'd need to implant it in anyone. We are already starting to see mobile devices and such that can be locked using biometrics, and two factor security is a thing as well.
At the very least, given this is a company, I would think it would be possible to have the computers unlockable with the badge that gets you in the front door.
