That may be your opinion, and I do respect that. Yet I find it a bit subjective based on conjecture. Maybe in a few month, years, I may feel that way with enough tangible evidence. Right now, I still have firm belief in the check and balances of our government system. Labeling, name calling, etc isn't constructive.
If you want to get to the root cause, it is people *on both sides* have forgotten what it is that they are for. Every American politician is currently "disrespecting" the American citizens. Did I elect my representatives to sit around and criticize while they collect their nice perks (Free Gold-star healthcare for life, travel, etc)? Hell no. I want them to work! I want them to fix things! I want them to do what is needed to get things working again!
They have forgotten their basic job duty. To represent *us*, the American citizens. In all of the rhetoric, mud-slinging, shaming, and criticism about this policy or that policy... they (99.9% of American politicians) have forgotten about us. The people who elect them into their positions. The struggles we have in our daily lives.
Public service is *NOT* supposed to be an option to make yourself wealth or richer. It is there to serve... to perform duties/service for ANOTHER... us, the American CITIZEN. Sadly, most politicians believe that the definition of "service" is to perform duties/service for THEMSELVES.
Americans have issues. I freely admit that. But right now, I firmly believe that the media is doing more to flame the issues to incite for their own agenda (i.e. the powerbrokers behind the scenes) more than being a "watchdog" function. This is my opinion. But as such, I have lost complete faith in anything that is spouted by the media except for morning traffic reports, weather, sports scores/highlights, and local city occurrences.
That's the irony. He isn't a politician. He went up against some 16 other Republicans in the primaries can came out on top. Why? People are *TIRED* of career politicians. As the non-politician, he talks big and has a big ego. Typical key elements to get noticed by the population in a big election.
And as you mention, he was entertaining... on his TV show... with his antics. He hasn't realized that the Oval Office isn't a reality TV show, that it is real life.
For being embarrassed... I can't (again my own personal opinion) put the entire blame on him. He is a good part, but he shares it almost equally with Congress (again EVERYONE, i.e. BOTH SIDES) and the Media. One man did not cause all of the problems and these problems did NOT start the day he was elected. We've have some serious underlying issues for well over 30 years. They are just really coming to a head... as money and resources are becoming more scarce.
Every nation has their own particular issues. It's just that at the moment, the United States has its issues under a microscope tied to a megaphone.
I am still proud to be born a American. As much hate or criticism people spew toward the US, I still believe and enjoy my freedoms and liberty. People forget that those freedoms and liberties didn't come easy. Many have sacrificed and put their lives on the line to ensure we have them.
Sorry for the rambling.
P.S. Remember this... when you point your finger at someone, there are three fingers pointing back at you.
I may not agree with you politically but well said, one thing I do disagree with though is that every county has its leaders under the microscope nowadays, it is the digital age this is how things are now.

That may be your opinion, and I do respect that, too. How is it subjective based on incomplete information?? We have seen Trump since the 1980s haha he acting the exact same way we've all predicted.
What do you mean by saying you have a "firm belief in the check and balances of our government system?" Meaning that Congress will impeach him?
"He hasn't realized that the Oval Office isn't a reality TV show?" You don't see that as disrespecting the Office as President?
Everything else I agree 100%, hit the nail on the head.
Happens all the time. I see happening here in this very thread. Of course people that voice a opinion other then what was intend are going to get targeted like myself a lot of the times. haha.
I said you probably wouldnt see them as liable. I didnt even say if I did or not.
That's probably so. But like I said in another reply I dont know what to believe since both parties are contradicting each other.
I knew since day one of him running in primaries that twitter would be a problem. Many of his staff have told him to stop using it. But just ignores them.
Surely you can find another democrat to push socialist ideology since Obama already used up his two terms
___________________________________________
For the record I do not like how Trump presents himself. I had a bad feeling about this since day one with him in primaries. This country has fallen back into its worse times. Racism is all time high. Being proud to be american is almost no existence almost as bad as Vietnam war era. Seriously these are things you would think a free world would not have problems with. Right now I'm sick to my stomach with a lot that is going on with his country and around the world. We are at our boiling point. WW3 is around the corner I just can feel it. No where close to Gene's ideology.
People on this thread are quoting Trump haha I've cited source often...that I actually believe in.
Right, creditability is based on facts and evidence haha so that explains a lot.
Obama is allowed to run for President, again. He has not used up anything...
Everyone knew that twitter would be a problem; he is a problem. The Simpsons made fun of the idea as Trump as President in the 90s, right? It has always been a joke; he's always been a joke. Many of his staff have told him to stop doing tons of stuff; but just ignores them. Staffers are releasing information to the news all the time. https://www.google.com/search?q=whit...hrome&ie=UTF-8
Ah, but the war caused people to dream of a better tomorrow.
People are always dreaming of a better tomorrow. Earth literally became United Earth as a result of contact with the Vulcans.
"United Earth was a planetary state created through the unification of Earth in the 22nd century, following first contact with Vulcans in 2063." http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/United_Earth

Rising from the ashes of the Eugenics Wars of the mid-1990s, the era of World War III was a period of global conflict on Earth that eventually escalated into a nuclear cataclysm and genocidal war over issues including genetic manipulation and Human genome enhancement. World War III itself ultimately lasted from 2026 through 2053, and resulted in the death of some six hundred million Humans. By that time, many of the planet's major cities and governments had been destroyed. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II"; Star Trek: First Contact; VOY: "In the Flesh")

That's what I'm talking about, we still have to have the Eugenics Wars, which leads to WWIII.
When I said ideology I didnt mean the timetable. Only part I think will happen is WW3 where we nuke each other till so much fallout we kill ourselves and the planet. Lets take Stephen Hawking suggestions: http://www.allthatsnews.com/articles...ew-planet-live. Of course he is talking about climate change but still we did that, well part of it, but definately will do it if we start throwing nukes around. I remember a DS9 episode where Quark with his brother and nephew get thrown into ww2 and Quark ask, "They radiated their own planet?!" http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/L..._Men_(episode)
I'm not going to give an opinion, just point out a basic fact that some appear to have overlooked. Trump as POTUS is acting no different than Trump as business man, or Trump as reality TV star or Trump at any other time. Trump is not a politician and after getting elected he refuses to act like one.
Basically, the Donald Trump sitting in the Oval Office is actually the exact same Donald Trump that ran for election, which was the exact same Donald Trump he has always been. Unlike almost every other President we have had in my life time, the President we have is the exact same person that won the election.
I see people complaining about how he doesn't act "Presidential". Although I am not a political science major, or even an expert in American history, I do know one thing. Nowhere in any of this Countries laws, Constitution etc is there any document anywhere that states that a President must act in any given manner. Donald Trump is acting like Donald Trump has always acted and that is the Donald Trump that won the election so by default, he is acting exactly like the President that the American people wanted. To misquote Forrest Gump "Presidential is as Presidential does". Presidents have been in fist fights, Presidents have skinny dipped in "public", Presidents have had meetings in the bathroom while sitting on the toilet doing their thing, Presidents have been quite proud of the size of their manhood and never missed an opportunity to show it off, Presidents have had the Secret Service bring them women for ...clandestine...activities, we've even had a a President get a BJ right in the Oval Office...from someone that wasn't thier wife. Presidential is as Presidential does.
Only time will tell whether "The Donald" is going to do actually do good things or bad things for the US as a whole. Of course, no matter what he does a bunch of people aren't going to be happy, but that's the way it would be no matter who got elected, every President we have had since I was old enough to care has done things I liked, and things I didn't like. I don't see the current President being any different.
My last observation is.......an actual opinion which I said I wasn't going to give, but it's not an opinion about Trump, it's about the media.
I have never seen the media as biased as it is currently, and anyone who actually takes an honest and objective look at it would say the same thing.

Isn't that the problem? He' not acting "presidential;" he's not acting like a representative of the United States. He's acting no different, than before; he acts like he doesn't care about the position. I'm pretty sure everyone freely acknowledges his actions don't fit the position.
Nowhere does it say that the "President must act in any given manner?" Does it have to? The President can treat the office with complete disrespect, since it doesn't state otherwise? That's an interesting defense of Trump's actions.
Of course there have been Presidents not acting "Presidential," so, yes, that in itself isn't anything new. Regardless of all the moral failings of past Presidents, Trump's blazing his own immoral trail. Not only is he disrespecting millions of Americans on an almost daily basis, insulting our own military, and straight making things up as he goes, he shows no remorse and doubles-down on turning on his own party, including alienating more and more people in our government. I wish Trump's problems were limited to fist fights, skinny dipping and private bathroom meetings haha
Of course not everyone will agree with a President's political views, but, sadly, they're hardly in question. We're hardly talking about anything political; we're not talking about his America First policies, jobs, military, infrastructure, or even Obamacare. We're trying to wrap our heads around his personality and why he's off the wall, borderline insane.
Right, it's the media's fault. They report what has been RECORDED. It is their responsibility to report so the people are informed.
You're accusing the media of being prejudice against Trump? They're simply playing back what they recorded. They sit around and discuss the ramifications of what's RECORDED.
Not really related to Trump but the media been caught multiple times lying on other topics. I dont see how this can be any different especially with such a hot topic.
I kinda wanna flip this the other way of sake of arguement/debate. Everyone remember that comedian that thought it be funny to chop Trumps head off? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ous-stunt.html makes me wonder how crazy the other side of the aisle is.
Was this ok or over the line? Better think carefully before you answer. If you think trump crazy im sure there some other crazy stuff out there.

You really want to start a lying tally against Trump? You sure? I'm pretty sure Trump has this in the bag hahaha
Your flipping it the other way is comparing Trump to a washed-up comedian trying to get attention through a horrible publicity stunt? haha oh yeah, excellent comparison.
As for "other side of the aisle," Trump isn't even really a Republican, considering his base goes against him all the time. Trump's starting his own party haha.
I kinda wanna flip this the other way of sake of arguement/debate.
That is not "the other way". That is a false equivalence, the whataboutism Trump frequently engages in to avoid actually addressing criticism or defending his actions. That is why he keeps mentioning Democrats in spite of Republican control of the House and Senate, why he keeps mentioning Hillary in spite of winning the election, why he keeps mentioning the news media in spite of being the president. He can't formulate a reasonable defense of pardoning a corrupt, racist, PoS so rather than even try he talks about Obama.
The media is not the equivalent of the President of the United States. A celebrity is not the equivalent of the President of the United States. Their actions or statements are not in any way germane to a discussion of the President of the United States.
When we criticize Martin Shkreli for being a giant asshat, the misdeeds of other CEOs (who are at least on the same level of influence and authority as Shkreli, unlike the President of the United States compared to everyone else on the planet) is not in any way relevant to the issue.
The moral failures of another in no way justifies or mitigates the failures of the one - contrary to what regimes like Russia or Turkey say to excuse their indefensible actions.
Interesting I just brought this point up. I guess it now ok to disrespect the office of the president. So many celebrities have done this if the former was still in office they would of all been taken down and sent to fed prison. I dont care what anyone says. Just down right disrespectful. Most the time I see trump just fighting dirty with those around him. Guess that's part of business world to.
Then again a lot of those say he isnt their president so they just disrespect him anyways. Last I check he won the election, before you go nuts about the more number of voters look at this district map. This is why we have electoral college.
I highly disagree with Dark's statement. He is a elected official. Not a god. Point of it wasn't to show the faults of one to justify another. It was to show how crazy this country is getting because of one man.
