For some reason Chrome will no longer start. Not from shortcut nor from the program lists. There is no error message nothing. I get about 2 secs where you will see the loading icon on the pointer nothing in Task Manger either. I started Edge and reran Chrome from there still big fat 0. Also restarted laptop. I can't think of anything else to do. While I am more of a backyard Nerd ( like Mechanic ) I know a lot of you guys are real Nerds and may have a few more options for me to try other then throwing the laptop against the wall.
I think reinstalling might work but you could also try a hard reboot of your laptop. To do that, press and hold the power button until the laptop turns off, then turn it back on like normal.

That's a bad idea if it's just software that won't run. Too many programs run in the background for such a move to not have too much harmful potential.
You could try to remove and reinstall Google Chrome.
I've written out how to do this below. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or pop on Teamspeak/Discord and we'll do our best to assist.
Click on the Download button in the centre of the screen
Untick "Help make Google Chrome better by automatically sending usage statistics and crash reports to Google." (or leave it, should you wish) and click "Accept and Install"
The download should now start.
On your computer, close all Chrome windows and tabs.
Click the Start menu and then click on Settings, or search for it using the search bar/Cortana.
Click Apps.
Under "Apps & features," find and click Google Chrome.
Click Uninstall.
Confirm by clicking Uninstall.
To delete your profile information, like bookmarks and history, check "Also delete your browsing data." Make sure this is not ticked if you want to save them.
Click Uninstall.
To install Chrome, find the downloaded "ChromeSetup.exe" and run it.
Follow the on-screen instructions which will guide you through the process.
Chrome should start automatically once it is installed.
Well, ether I need to have my nerd card pulled or this quitting smoking thing effects the brain! This time I did a clean install instead of just reinstalling the over the top of damn thing it still didnt work but I remembered to do the right click run as admin and that at least got it to work. Not sure yet if I will have to do that everytime but at least i have Chrome back for now. BUt man do i feel like an idiot for not thinking do to a clean install.
Thanks guys
P.S please don't tell anyone that before I had my accident I was an IT Major at Kaplan University lol.
Happy to hear that it works again ! You can also configure the Admin Run by right-clicking on the Chrome icon -> Properties -> Compatibility and tick the Run as an Administrator (or something like that)
That's what I just did It's now set to always run as admin so I don't have to do it manually all the time. Any clue on what could have happened to cause the program to go hinky like that. I have never run into a program that HAS to have run by admin clicked to on all the time.
