As you may or may not know, I'm a new event officer in Holodeck and I need your help. Organizing events is pretty easy and straightforward, go to the events tab, fill out the info, create an event and finally just wait for people to show up right? Well thats where it gets complicated. As you may know, we don't really have a linear pattern we tend to follow when it comes to general gaming. Sure we primarly play STO, some of us play WOW and a few of us play Diablo and KF. But it is every disheartening to see events where the only person who RSVP'ed is the person thats hosting the event. As a new event officer, I plan on creating new events in games that I generally enjoy playing but I also do not want to deviate from games that the community will actually enjoy playing. I plan on creating new events in primarily SWTOR and a few other games that I like to play, SWTOR will probably pick up steam in terms of ingame guild recruitment and events in January. I just want to use this thread to see what the community's interests are in terms of what game you guys want to play. I understand that this opinion might be temporary and that you might not feel the same way in the future, but being new to the division and the community I hope that this will be a good foothold to establish my perspectives and to assist in my role as Holodeck event officer . Feel free to list game ideas and bump/discuss on games that intrigue you.

Some times it's less the games that we play but the times that the events are hosted at. Some of us are in Europe and some in the US. Another problem with WoW is that they have separated the NA game region from the EU game region so you would need both game licenses to play on both sides. SWTOR on the other hand does not do that. I give a lot of kudos to Event Officers for all that they do.
For game ideas, Overwatch, SWTOR, EvE Online, Diablo, some have even played The Division here before.

I'm available on Overwatch (Americas) & Warframe. I've stopped playing SWTOR for an year now, and don't see myself returning to it any time soon. Other than for episodes.

I think quite a few STO people play World of Warships, so there's that? But it has regional servers and you have to start from scratch on each server with a new client if you wanna move. Highly annoying but sadly the only way it'll ever be i suspect.

I would definitely put in there Fractured Space (www.fracturedspace.com). It is a free to play 5v5 space Tactical game, similar style to a MOBA but in my opinion much better! Would be great to get more people involved.

From the last thread about this:
Killing Floor and Diablo 3 are currently successful games within the UFP. Yay!
We found that Overwatch is more suited to occasional events when the mood strikes rather than scheduled weekly or biweekly sessions, which I think is how most people play. I know I personally don't play Overwatch every day, but once in a while I'll get an itch for it and play a few matches.
World of Warships / World of Tanks / War Thunder - all are possibilities for events to be run on, and I think War Thunder was successful in the past. Wargaming.Net games also support guilds/clans which could be fun for us to explore.
ARK: Survival Evolved is a good game with dedicated server support, but un-optimised as sh...ugar. Also when I last played it (several months ago, admittedly) the community was not the most pleasant when playing on public servers with griefing being common.
The Elder Scrolls Online has been mentioned in the past, but with the only MMO at present with a good playerbase here being World of Warcraft it's going to be difficult to get people to play. Along the same vein as this is DC Universe Online and Lord of the Rings Online.
Planetside 2 allows a lot of us to get together (as long as we've selected the same faction) and is great for drop-in, drop-out events.
Farming Simulator allows a lot of players to play together
And from our Gaming Engineer:
Finally, Destiny 2 was suggested prior to it's release - curious what people now think?
Warframe is one I haven't been near for a long time. If anyone has any experience of this and feels it would be worth looking into please let us know!

I have a high level character in warframe. It's got a clan system and content to run through with teams. I could assist with warframe builds once people reach towards end-game status.
Like SWTOR's flagship, the clan dojo also has to be unlocked segment after segment.
Warframe is game for UFP runs as warframe is a game most interesting when run with friends and in groups. It tends to get grindy - because the same gear in its market can simply be grinded in-game as well.

I would like to see something that the entire... well, perhaps the majority of the community here could get involved with. Something with character growth (as everyone likes to improve their own stuff) but more importantly something that the community (guild, clan, etc) works together to advance or achieve.
A tall order and pie-in-the-sky request... absolutely. But is there anyone looking or discussing options?
Many of us came to this community for STO and it was our de facto community game that everyone could play together. A lot of good times and I thought the community certainly flourished because of it.
We lost that. Yes, STO is still around and is still a good title... but many have moved on for the most part.
There is no easy solution. No magic title. And it will take a lot of effort and drive to get the community enthused and excited to be apart of it. Who will be that driving force or who has the endurance (and perseverance) to undertake a task like that? I do not know.

Perhaps we could make some decisions like this through a survey.
Make a list of some suggested games in which people are already playing. The comments back would be from the people playing the games and talking about their experiences with it. The survey format also shows a rough estimate of how any people are interested in or are already playing a certain game which has been brought up. True, it is up to everyone else to have something catch on but it also prevents people from going into a game completely blind and knowing some of the community is already there helps everything else too.

Interesting Mention about Planetside 2, I was really involved in the game a while back in Briggs, the Australian Server, with a prominent outfit in the game but interest for it has started dwindling as far as I know. However it could prove to be a viable option for us to get on and play a bit whenever we feel like it.

I'm also going to throw this one out: SWAT 4. It would require a bit of setup for multiplayer (such as Tunngle) but could be interesting.
EDIT to add:
Factorio is a brilliant game about making factories, defending against enemy biters, and optimising your creations. It's one of my favourite games of all time - and it's multiplayer! There's a demo available from their website.

So, as of day before yesterday I rejoined DC Universe Online, I used to play this game AGES ago. And, apparently, I think they may be the first MMORPG to achieve this... I was playing on PC with people who were playing from their PS4. It genuinely seems to have become a cross-platform MMO.
I think we should keep an eye on this MMO.
A guy from PS4 even asking my help for a quest, so I grouped up with him and was also able to help him. He told me he's playing from PS4 as well.

Firstly thank you for taking the time to ask the community what we are playing so you and the rest of us can have a great time playing our favourite games together. Now to answer your question, Honestly it completely depends on the when and were. That is when being what time of day (Maybe people are at work or sleeping in one country while its a Saturday morning in yours.)
To fix this I think it would be great to do a poll each week so you can get a verdict from the people, and a precise time. Say you create a new thread for each game you can host and start a poll at each start of the week asking people what they want to do and when. Maybe talk to players in the community and see if they can join and ask them to invite others who can. Then finally create the event and make sure people know about it.
That is what I believe can get more than one person to RSVP to an event!
I hope this helps you out in your quest for more than one RSVP.

Final Fantasy XIV has been doing this since release. PC and PS3, now PC and PS4. Half of the people in my Free Company (Guild/Clan) and half my friends are on PS4 while I'm on PC.
It is too bad PW/Cryptic didn't do this with their consoles and PC players.
But I agree the cross-platform MMO-types may be something the community keeps an eye on for a title that a good majority would be interested in.
