Welcome to the official UFP Star Trek Bridge Crew forum. This area, like most areas within the UFP, is dedicated to the Star Trek Bridge Crew video game, that recently became available for non-VR players. With it being a modern Star Trek game that works on Windows 10, we wanted to begin official support for it and start official events.

If you are looking for anything related to Star Trek Bridge Crew, then this is the right area. Here, there will be discussions, event organising and simply keeping up to date with the current development of the game. Be sure to grab a copy, a microphone and start playing with us! Sadly, the game itself is actually designed to require a microphone, even if you’d prefer to type, the game requires you to have a microphone as communication is essential.

Don’t know what Star Trek Bridge Crew is? It is a Star Trek game that was released May 2017 exclusively for VR. Where every player has a role to play in commanding and running a starship, but initially required a VR capable system, whether be PS4VR or Oculus/Vive. However, in December 2017 they released a non-VR patch, making the game work on both PS4 and PC without a VR system - which considering VR owners are a minority, they are surely going to be pleased with the decision to make this patch.

There are four slots for people to fill in: Captain, Helm, Tactical and Engineering. Each station is self-explanatory, and are all required for a game to be played. The game is based in the Kelvin Universe, but players can fly the Consitution-class USS Enterprise from the Prime Universe, hopefully there will be more releases from Prime. Any expansions for the game though, are a welcome fit.

When are events for me to join in? I have just got it and haven’t played it yet. Currently, we are having weekly events on Friday night at 20:00UFP - feel free to grab the game, and come along! The first event we had, we managed to get two full crews, so the more the merrier!

Note: This game is CROSS PLATFORM COMPATIBLE between PC and PS4.

The two playable ships are very different with their setups.

The USS Aegis, the Kelvin Timeline starship, has simpler controls that are easy to find and more intuitive. Tactical can target enemy starship subsystems after scanning a target and Engineering is able to reroute power to another subsystem. The option to disrupt a target's systems and also transporter options can be controlled by any station except for the Captain.

The USS Enterprise is more complicated with its controls. There are a lot of buttons which are cosmetic at the Helm, Tactical, and Engineering stations. It also can't target enemy subsystems or reroute power to other systems. Transporter features are controlled only by the Engineer while target system disruption doesn't appear to be a feature for the USS Enterprise.

A good way to think of these 2 ships in game: USS Aegis is easy/normal mode while USS Enterprise is hard mode.

I hope we get additional ships with different options in their setups and also more missions down the road.

I have had issues with trying to play this game. I finally tracked the problem (I think). When I load the game, I go from 20% memory usage to 90+% memory usage. I have 8 gigs and thought that was sufficient, but obviously not. Is there anything I can do to solve this?

bought a Ps4. got Bridge Crew, I'm still trying to figure it out LOL I'm really not used to playing first person.. oh well, ill get the hang of it lol
