Vaulting Ambition

Whoever designed the Emperor's ship...jesus...doesn't look like it is from Star Trek :/ and yeah, the Lorca bit...♥♥♥♥...there were signs though that this was the case, so at the same time, I am not too surprised, but still...

It looks like a mirror miricle worker ship in STO.....I love it!

I suspected and I knew the theories were out there but still, the reveal was fantastic. People are complaining on Reddit that this was predictable but honestly so what. I’d rather them drop clues and then give a nice payoff than pull something out of thin air i.e. Bashir being a founder on DS9.

i mean i know there were theories... but i liked Lorca....... i really liked Lorca.....

Man this show taken a turn that was not expected in last few episodes.. i love it!

I dunno, if you watch DS9 again, when the new grey shoulder uniform comes in, watch Bashir closely. He does seem a little different to his usual self, or at least that is what I found. Only issue with this series and it's twists are they are a little too obvious...imo

So the Lorca hints and theories were right all along. That just begs the question now - where is the Prime Lorca?

I can’t imagine they’ll want to lose Jason Issacs from the cast so it’ll be interesting to see where they’re going with this as I doubt if Discovery makes it back that Starfleet would be open to what is essentially an imposter commanding one of their ships.

Hoooooly moly. What a reveal.

Remember that one of the main objections people had to Discovery after the first couple of episodes was that "it is not Star Trek enough" as "the captain is a warmongering ♥♥♥♥"... well that is explained now isn't it?

This puts _everything_ in a new light.

I don't think it fixes a lot of things, just the fact that he is a bit of a warmonger.

So, one of the theories out there is that Stamets somehow returns Burnham to the past, right before the battle of the binary stars, and she somehow avoids the war. Then is given command of Discovery (remember the show started with how she is ready for her first command). Her and Stamets are the only two that remember the Klingon war. Ash (the real one) is assigned to Discovery as her Tac officer, Saru is her first officer as Gergiou is promoted to Admiral and the aging Shenzou is decomissioned. Lorca is off the show.

Season 2 is all about Discovery and exploration....

1.) What is the problem with Discovery they are eating too many people for my taste.

2.) How manged Lorca to travel to our universe?

3.) Are Kelpiens maybe native to the Mirror Universe and did they show Lorca how to switch universes?

I don't like this progression to be honest. Way too much has changed and deviated from how things were set in motion. Anyway, I still need to see the episode, but just speculating off the comments here that I'm not gonna like it.

Gonna watch this episode whenever I get the time to next.

EDIT: Ok watched the episode, despite the above points I kinda liked it. Hell, this is confusing. I guess for classic exploration trek there's Orville, and Game of Thrones in Space is Discovery.
