I haven't run a parser since Wow Vanilla and Burning Crusade, let alone in STO (have no idea where or how for STO). So I imagine those of us who want to get our 'rating' known would run with an Team Officer or something, yes?

Also, for added clarification, this is "Space" only? Do the same numbers apply for ground?

That can indeed be arranged. Earlier today when I ran queues, I managed to parse a couple of members on their current characters and informed them of their DPS.

That's the idea. I intent to start off with multiple ad-hoc events. The more the merrier, especially armada wide audiences.

I think with some help from fleetmates moth players could be brought up to an acceptable DPS number with guided runs and build help.

How to make this sound not like a mood dampener....Have been looking at the after action reports every now and then and see that activity on the STF front is some what lacking in average only a few turn up for those and the odd more players when ran by command staff. So I have to ask what makes this idea viable and stable in the long run?. And while not fact but my own observation STO has been going down hill for a number of years in player activity yes the odd new content sees players come back for a time and then leave again.

While ESF had its merit back in the day I just dont see a off shoot department working. I hope any plans on making this its own division one day are given some hard thought to viability and current player activity.

UFP itself is an evolved community since those days where STO was the main focus, we are now into multiple Trek and non-Trek games which are also officially supported by the same. So, the comparison is not really on the same level now. Another thing would have to do is the diverse timezone of the community itself, we have people from multiple timezones engaged now rather than a single region.

The concern regarding events has been addressedd via survey feedbacks. STO is in a position which makes it great to pug currently, and alot of systems such as admiralty, specializations, crafting, re-engineering, ship mastery, looting for salvage, etc - which demands to go solo than be grouped.

So I have to ask what makes this idea viable and stable in the long run?.

I suppose we'll find that out on the long run. I personally believe on results, and results will determine how sustainable this is than analysis or speculation. We do have a great number of STO players within UFP and its Armada.

At the end of the day if the community enjoys it, it will be delivered and the Staff teams will ensure we do our best to provide the gaming experience. It's about the community experience.

I agree with the fact, that it indeed is your own observation. STO isn't going downhill.

STO population will increase due to the announcement of new season and/or faction/race(s) being added. I know its made me more excited to log into sto. I see it being coming popular again for a awhile at least haha.

I am excited to see this return to UFP. I truly do like the way teams are divided into DPS groups, allowing everyone to be able to participate in Special Forces at their own level and ability. This allows casual (or even those with tighter budgets) to participate while at the same time allowing those who max out their DPS to partner with like-minded captains as well. I hope this is a very busy and successful division.

I've done a few upgrades myself since having run some STFs with a 21k dps parse earlier today, so I'll be continuing to work myself up to the next bracket. I'm sure we'll see a lot more people returning with the upcoming expansion, so it should become even easier to get groups going then.

Yup it's an old parse but still on the system. I'd forgotten about it as it's been ages since I've uploaded anything.

It's a great tool for looking at what others in the team are using too; if you see someone with a killer parse look up what was doing all the damage and have a tinker with it yourself.
