    Can someone explain to me why the increase in level from 60 to 65 is needed and what benefit will it bring or is this a pretence for higher mk gear and tier 7 ships?
    Ambassador Kael had mentioned it was to give the players a little extra to play for, as players respond well to having a little extra to achieve. He also said they have no plans for T7 anytime in the near future, as the T5U/T6 scaling was a nightmare for them.

    You'd get a bit more resist by scaling them up anyways.

    From what was reported, they are only considering adding levels to the game but not touching rank for characters if they do add more levels (which they'll likely do). I don't think we'll ever see T7 anytime soon. Maybe a T6U, but that'll be just unlocking another console + a universal specialization boff slot I think. That's really the only place ships can go at this point for unlocking or additions to ships.

    In fact, I would honestly believe that what we'll refer to as "T7" is more just having the ability to unlock the extra console, the uni specialization, etc.

    Actually, I'd like to correct that. I say universal, but it'll probably be more like certain ships will be able to unlock certain specialization slots. Like the Excelsior will be able to unlock Pilot, Sovereign can unlock Command, Galaxy can unlock Miracle, etc. That will likely be what will end up as T7.

    Also, this patch is huge. I'm quite surprised. Nearly 6.5gb seems like it is a precursor to the next expansion as well as for 14.5. I think.

    I don't see NPC's really becoming any more difficult. They need to be beatable by the average player base, which would be DPS between 10-30k?
    Elite players will probably only ever find a challenge in PVP or with using some sort of handicap.

    And a bit of that level scaling hull for T6 ships. I assume at least one more Mk level but I don't think that's confirmed either way yet.
