Yeah, the editor remains a mystery. What exactly is the point of the "Core cards"? They look pretty, but I can't add them to my deck, so I fail to see any point to them.
The core cards are tied to the flagship you pick to play with. So the NX Class has a different set of core cards than the Defiant Class. That, together with the flagship special and ultimate ability is what makes the choice relevant. Bascially you create a deck of 30 cards, but the flagship you pick adds the 8 core cards to it that you can draw from using the ship's abilities.
Hope that helps to make more sense of it. It's rather confusing at first, the tutorial should definitely explain that better.

Some of my personal feedback:
Legendary cards, when opening from a pack or presented during a Quark's draft need a proper sound effect.
The graphics are already there for it, but it really needs an audio cue to celebrate.
I would prefer to have a collection button that lets me view my current cards, without having to be in the deck editor.
The concede button during a game looks like a regular back button, both style and position wise. This not a great choice.
I cannot confirm or deny ever having pressed this button accidentally during a match, thereby
Getting duplicate legendaries is way too punishing. It takes 5 duplicates before you get something back?
Sorry, I feel strongly about this being absolutely terrible. Unpacking a legendary should be cause for celebration, but getting
a duplicate of that one legendary crew member you already had is absolutely miserable.
It's crazy that getting duplicates for less rare cards is much less punishing as they start giving latinum back much sooner.
We're swimming in latinum now, but this will be super frustrating in the official release when packs are harder to acquire.
The "6" and "7+" filtering buttons don't work in the deck editor
There needs to be an explanation (or a better one in case I missed it) of the amount of cards you can add to your deck.
All cards appear to be just singles in my collection, but it looks like I can add two copies of 1 and 2 star cards and one of higher up.
But this is just me trying to figure it out.
Maybe this was explained at the very beginning, but in the on screen tutorial in the deck editor, no mention is made of this.
It would be very nice if the deck list showed the ship and crew count, that way I won't have to keep track manually of how many crew I've added.
In the replicator, the distinciton between cards already owned or max and potential replication candidates is not very clear.
I realize you can look at the stars at the bottom of the card, but it would be nice to get a very clear visual clue,
maybe the picture being grayed out like or the card border lighting up (personal favorite option).

Additional feedback:
Quark's arena is where it's at. My favorite mode by far. I always enjoy playing against AI in games, less stressful than PvP type activities and in most card games it's not done very well. While the AI does make some weird mistakes, overall the experience is great. Actually the AI not being perfect probably helps with the enjoyment. I liked this game mode in a certain other card game, but like I said, against the AI is better for just relaxing. That way, it feels like I'd sooner go for some fun picks during the draft instead of trying to min/max everything.

Just started playing this yesterday.
Based on the feedback already in here, I won't go too far off the deep end on things.
I'll be honest, the tutorial was underwhelming in its lack of helpfulness. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing for the first hour of gameplay. In the end, I read online guides to help me understand what things like "Haste" "Guardian" and the like meant.
There was also no explanation of what the "Special" and "Ultimate" meant or how you got them or how you used them. Worked that out through trial and error. I also had absolutely no idea even during the tutorial that I was supposed to be shooting at the flagship, not just the mini-ships.
Despite all that - I've worked out how to play the game a bit better now. Worked out what all the text on the cards mean, and how much "Energy" I need to deploy certain cards, and worked out how to do combos to full effect. Just ask Avenger how I kicked his ass with my Legendary combo of the Enty-E and James T Kirk.
I don't think the game has much replay ability as it currently stands, as there's no ability to play missions and stuff against the AI. There's only a PvP element, which I guess is fine, but gets a little weary. There's always the practice ones, but they also get a little grindy, especially with no reward for doing them.
I'd be delighted to offer any advice I have on understanding women. When I have some, I'll let you know.
