Greetings, all!

Do we currently have a clan in World of Warships? If not, would it be okay for me to make us one (I have some spare dubloons)?

Is there interest in joining a clan there? Even if we don't all play at the same time, we are able to pool resources and provide benefits to cost of research, repair, etc.

I'd like to make us a clan, but I don't want to step on any toes and I haven't been able to confirm if even of the clans on there with names similar to ours are active/legit?

Hi Gilmoro,

At present we don't have clans in World of Warships or World of Tanks. Part of the reason for this is the fact that the EU and NA servers are split and you would require a separate client along with tweaks to be able to run both clients on the same computer, and progress is tracked separately across each region.

If you are interested in creating a clan in either game then a poll might be a good idea to determine the interest for each region, then we could create the clan in the most popular one. Providing there is enough sustained interest I would have no problem funding this myself.

When we've played WoT or WoS in the past all we've done is added each other to our friends lists then platooned up. It's tended to be organised over TeamSpeak.

I used to play World of Warplanes before release but never actually started after it left Beta. I felt War Thunder offered a better flying experience at the time. Have you played both? If so, could you throw some comparisons out there - I'm curious what they have both turned in to after a couple of years?

I haven’t played Warplanes yet, I still need to download and install it, lol. I just wanted to see if it was the same or better than Warships

I played World of Warplanes recently and it's true that it has more of an arcade feel than WarThunder. I reached Tier 3 and found that the AI guarding airfields suddenly became vicious as did the AA fire. It was easy to pick up and play though.

Clans are created per-region, so we would have to create one for the US and one for the EU. It is not easy to change regions for players either - once you have a client for a region installed it's a real PITA to get it to also work on a second region.

Also, I recall when I looked into the benefits of having a Clan, there weren't that many at all - we just added each other to our Friends Lists.
