I like Ayaka better than CG Fina, mainly because for most content I don't even use a healer. Yet Ayaka is MVP in Arena against Stop effects, so she's not really benched.

Have you heard about the Moose trial that just popped up in the news?

Apparently it's not that bad - starts with a big MP refresh buff for our units, and then we have 8 turns to kill him.
Magic AoE attack every round, unless we hit it with a spell in which case it does a physical AoE attack instead.

Looks like the strategy is to get a dodge cover tank, and cast spells at the thing. Tornado chains ideally, since it's 50% weak to Wind.

If you decide to stick with the game (now is a decent time since we're in the middle of getting lots of free stuff), give me a shout and I'll expand my friends list. My units can likely carry you through much of the early content and trials, and if you're doing a specific trial I can probably swap in a carry if you let me know.

Oh! It's worth pointing out that if you haven't linked your game to your Facebook yet (or perhaps you don't intend to, in which case make sure you write down your ID somewhere in case you lose your game) it's possible to reroll. Very early into the game you get a bunch of free pulls for units, so people reroll to start off with good units.

I personally never bothered, but I'd recommend aiming for a rainbow (5 star base) while you have the opportunity. While there are 4-star base units that are better in the long run than some of the weaker 5-star base units, even the worst 5-star base is useful. For example, Lightning is generally considered the worst, but she has innate dual wield and good enough stats to carry a team through most of the early content.

Some people reroll until they get the best rainbows, but I'm nowhere near that patient and say that any rainbow is good enough.

No worries. At 40 NRG a pop, we barely need friend bonus units.

I tried to cheese the Ice Bird trial with Ang, and got my butt handed to me. 120 NRG down the drain, and it's like.... fine! I'll try to do this legit. ...eventually.

That new trial was easy, but took way more NRG then it really should have.

First I was over-confident and went in with my raid team, which got wiped.

Then I accidentally killed it before I could summon my esper.
Then I apparently didn't time the esper right, so that didn't count.
Finally I just whittled it down to under 10% before just letting Yuna kill it with Bahamut.

160 NRG, I'm so inefficient.

Currently sharing a Noctis who can solo the Dragonlord on LGD if you Escape the previous rounds. No luck on 100% Bonus unit this time around, not that I really tried on this banner. Just got the cute slime and stopped using my tickets.

Man, I spent almost a dozen four star tickets and double that in normal tickets, pulling 3 rainbows - M. Ramza and Olive being like the 6th of each, and a brand new Kunshira.

The heck man, I realize the odds of not getting an on-banner rainbow in 3 rainbows isn't that low at 12.5%, but ugh...
