I'm currently setting up and learning the Roll20.net Online Table-Top system so that I can GM (GameMaster) Star Trek Adventures, and I am looking gauge interest in playing, as I would like to be able to run a Bi-Weekly game on either Friday or Saturday at 6pm-7pm GMT (This would make it 11am-12pm for me, which fits my schedule with work)

To play, it is strongly recommended that one purchases either a Hard-Copy or Digital PDF copy of the core rule book, but not totally necessary, as the game system is easy to learn and assistance with creating a character can be given. Pre-Generated characters are also available. That being said, I am firmly a believer that if you like a product, support the developer.

Now, it might be a month or two before I can start this up, depending on my finances as I need to purchase some additional resources (GM Screen, Map Tiles, 'These Are the Voyages Vol. 1' mission pack), as well as play a few games as a player to get a feel for the game and fully learn its rules.

The games will be run using the Roll20.net Virtual Table-Top system, and an account on that website will be required. Roll20 does support Voice and Video through their website app, Video will be optional, but a Microphone will be required. If compatibility issues arise, and with approval from Admin here, Teamspeak can be used, failing that I can set up a Discord channel.

Now, here's what I have in mind for you guys:

The Year is 2371...

Captain Sisko and the crew of the Deep Space Nine have made first contact with the Dominion and the Founders, and tensions are on the rise between the Alpha and Beta Quadrant Powers as they debate and deliberate over what the Dominion's next move might be. Meanwhile, the Maquis are proving to be an ever-present danger around the Demilitarized Zone between the Federation and the Cardassian borders, committing acts of terrorism and guerrilla warfare on both Cardassian and Federation targets. To the surprise and disbelief of Starfleet Command, The USS Enterprise-D is destroyed over Veridian III, and to make matters worse, the USS Equinox and USS Voyager have both gone missing. With the Flagship of the Fleet gone and the loss of two more vessels and their crews, Starfleet needs new officers to fill in the gaps and pick up the slack.

Game Sessions will require 3-6 players, and will last 2-3 hours. Character creation deadline will be the Monday before the next scheduled game as I need to create the character sheet in Roll20.

I do have one requirement for character creation though, when it comes to choosing Values (these represent the kind of person your character is and defines who they are), you wind up picking up 4. Of those 4, two of them must be negative, but not overly so. Examples include: Fear of Fire or Heights, Lack of Confidence in abilities, regret over a command decision, etc. Your characters are mortal, and therefore not perfect. This campaign will be a living one, your characters, and even the ship you crew will evolve over time. You will be given chances to challenge or overcome those values that hold you back. You may even gain new ones that will either give you advantage, or present an even greater challenge.

I set the stage, and you, the player, live the story.

Hi all
I would like to give it a try, I never play the Star Trek RPG, always D&D or others. I will have a look at rulebook ASAP, but count me in if you organizing a test run. I'm aware of the Roll20 website but never used, some friends told me is more than enough to play.

Edit: I just realise some of the messages are 1 year old, is this project going on or is kinda abandoned??

I've been looking for a group to play this game with ever since I got the core rulebook. None of my d&d group are interested and I don't have any other friends that would even consider playing.

I have never played so I wouldn't volunteer to be GM but I wouldn't be against it at some point down the line, once I've gotten the hang of the game mechanics.
