    This sounds interesting for the future of trek. they may be trying to do a low budget version of Re-vitalizing the entire franchise like Disney does with Star Wars..

    I am very curious about the idea to set a series in Starfleet Academy. I was hoping for this actually for quite some time and I believe it could be very successful and entertaining for both old and new Star Trek fans.

    I wonder what timeline or universe they will stick to or use. JJ Abrams? TNG/DS9/VOY universe?

    This is a bold idea and I've like to see it. The Academy one hopefully has a good story for it, if not the story, it better have at least some wonderful and strong characters. Strong characters can create and carry the overarching story. Casting will be important, and acting talent will be key. Smile

    The possibility of an animated series intrigues me,it would be neat if it was done in the same style as Voltron Legendary Defender in regards to character and background design.

    I loved Discovery and I’m excited for season 2, it’s far from perfect but let’s face it neither were the other series for that matter too!

    I’d love them to work on a serious Star Trek film, not them playing at it like JJ Abrahms! The biggest mistake they ever made was cancelling Enterprise, looking back it was the best series by far! Loved that little shop!

    Well what ever they do they need to not put it on All Access. That is what has put me off on Discovery. I like anything Star Trek and Sir Stewart so I'm excited.

    I am very much looking forward to what is coming. I think they are doing a great job giving Star Trek a new lease on life. I think they learned a lot during the first year of STD, and will hopefully get better at walking the line between Trek lore, and good original story telling.

    I'm of the opposite feeling, All Access has been great for me.

    Chances are all Star Trek will be on All Access as is a lot of CBS' new specialized programming.
